High Five Care and Learning
About the Business
Welcome to High Five Care and Learning, a place where we celebrate the natural curiosity and imagination of children. Located at Wellington, Evans Bay Parade, 300, our institution is not just an establishment or a school, but a point of interest for families seeking a nurturing and empowering environment for their little ones.
At High Five Care and Learning, we firmly believe in respecting the pace of a child's development. We understand that each child is unique and that their individual journey of learning should be guided positively. By working alongside children, we encourage both independent and group learning, following their interests and helping them gather knowledge, social skills, and emotional intelligence along the way.
Our dedicated team of kaiako (teachers) empower tamariki (children) to become lifelong learners. We foster an environment where they feel confident to take calculated risks and build trusting relationships. We understand the importance of providing a safe and supportive space for children to explore, discover, and grow.
But don't just take our word for it. Kelly, a parent whose daughter has been attending High Five Care and Learning since last year, shares her experience. She loves the people, the freshly prepared food, the dancing, and the outdoor area. Kelly's positive feedback speaks volumes about the quality of care and learning we provide.
At High Five Care and Learning, we focus on building trusting and meaningful relationships. We understand the significance of collaboration with tamariki, their whānau (family), and kaiako to support their holistic development. We believe in empowering and respecting everyone involved in the child's journey, creating a sense of belonging and community.
Leadership and mana (prestige) are not limited to adults at High Five. We strive to cultivate leadership qualities and a sense of mana in all members of our community, including children. By doing so, we empower not only the children but also one another, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
Our dedicated and hard-working team goes above and beyond to create a caring and nurturing environment for your children. We understand that each child develops at their own pace, and we ensure that they are given the space and support they need to grow and develop as individuals.
At High Five Care and Learning, we are more than just an institution. We are a community that celebrates the joy of learning and the potential of every child. Join us on this incredible journey of care and learning, where your child's curiosity and imagination are cherished and nurtured.

"My son literally lunges out of my arms to be with the teachers at high five. If your looking for a relaxed homie environment with excellent nutritious food I highly recommend high five. Tepa is so welcoming, warm and kind hearted I couldn't of asked for a better person to look after our son. She even asked my husband how to say hello in pidgin so she could greet our son in one of his native languages. Tepa, Chantal and team thank you so so much for looking after our kid and we are so sad to be leaving high five :("
"A wonderful, tight knit centre and community for my little boy and family to be a part of :) He absolutely loves the large outdoor space to explore nature and learn to interact gently with animals. The teacher to child ratios are amazing, and allow for lots of one on one time with children. We feel so at home and supported at High Five. Would 100% recommend!"
"High Five is an ideal place for your little one to grow happily and learn independance and great values like sharing, helping others, express your feelings in a quite way. My daughter has been there for 2 years and has made incredible progress in language learning, art and dancing! They have a small animal farm and kids can pet "Coco the Rabbit" who is part of the whanau :) They also go to the beach in summer time and they get very close to the sea life and have loads of fun. They have a in-house cook who adapts to your kids needs (allergies or all kind of diet) and kids even get to prepare the food with her sometimes. The team is very devoted and warm and my daughter is happy to leave me in the morning in order to play with her friends or play in the beautifully-maintained yard. I warmly recommend this place!"
"Nice people looking after your kids."
