Parkway Kindergarten

Welcome to Parkway Kindergarten, located at 31 Parkway, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a school that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for tamariki (children) to explore, discover, and engage.

At Parkway Kindergarten, we believe in creating learning opportunities that are based on the interests of each child. We support them in constructing new understandings through hands-on experiences and social interactions. Our approach allows each child to learn in their own unique way and at their own pace, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.

One of the core values at our kindergarten is a strong sense of community and bi-culturalism. We embrace Tikanga Maori and Gagana Samoa, celebrating our cultural diversity and inviting tamariki and their whanau (families) to share what is important to them. This cultural integration enriches the learning experience for our children, promoting a sense of belonging and understanding.

Our dedicated team at Parkway Kindergarten includes Head Teacher Farren Riki, Teacher Dani Walbaekken, Teacher Neta Samani, Teacher Geetha De Silva, and Kindergarten Administrator & Teacher Support Angela Johnston. Together, they create a supportive and inclusive environment for our tamariki to thrive.

Our session times are Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. We follow the New Zealand school term schedule, with Term 1 running from 25th January to 6th April, Term 2 from 24th April to 30th June, Term 3 from 17th July to 22nd September, and Term 4 from 9th October to 21st December.
