Welcome to Busy Bees Brooklyn! Located at 37 Cleveland Street in Wellington, New Zealand, our establishment is a point of interest and school that values every child as a unique and special taonga (treasure). We understand that choosing the right center for your child's education and care is a big decision, and we are honored to be a part of your child's learning journey.

At Busy Bees Brooklyn, we promote an inclusive environment where tamariki (children) develop knowledge and understanding of New Zealand's dual heritage, culture, language, and identity, while also recognizing the diverse cultures of our community. We believe in open communication, engagement, and working in partnership with parents and whānau (extended family) regarding all aspects of children's learning, interests, goals, and holistic development.

Our center consists of three rooms designed to cater to the specific needs and developmental stages of children. The Kākano Room is for infants up to 18 months old, where loving and trusting bonds are built between pēpi (babies) and kaiako (teachers). In the Pihinga Room, which is for children aged 18 months to 3 years, curiosity and exploration are encouraged through a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Finally, the Kōhuri Room is for children aged 3 to 5 years, where they gain independence, confidence, and a sense of responsibility while being prepared for their next learning adventure.

Our center's cook prepares nutritious meals daily, following New Zealand Food and Nutrition Guidelines and the Ministry of Health Healthy Eating for Babies, Toddlers, and Children. We are striving to achieve the Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora Healthy Heart Award, reflecting our commitment to providing healthy and nourishing meals for our children.

At Busy Bees Brooklyn, our philosophy centers around aroha (love) and whanaungatanga (kinship). We believe that every child deserves to feel valued and respected, and we strive to create a safe and nurturing learning community where children can direct their own learning, share their culture and identity, and develop a sense of kaitiakitanga (guardianship) of the environment. The first five years of a child's life are incredibly significant, and we are dedicated to providing a fun and enriching experience that fosters independence, achievement, and well-being.
