Welcome to Child in Mind, a trusted institution located at 568A Remuera Road in Auckland, New Zealand. Our establishment is dedicated to providing health services and support to children, adolescents, and their whānau (families) who are facing challenging emotions and behaviors.

At Child in Mind, you will find Nicola Jackson, a highly qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, ready to assist you. Nicola offers her expertise in person at our clinic in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, as well as through telehealth services for clients across Aotearoa NZ.

With a strong commitment to Te Titiri o Waitangi and Māori as tangata whenua, Nicola ensures an ethical and confidential approach to her practice. She warmly welcomes all individuals, including those who identify as neurodiverse, rainbow, twice-exceptional, Māori, and Tauiwi (non-Māori New Zealanders).

Drawing on psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy approaches, Nicola works closely with children and their whānau to address difficult feelings, behaviors, and relationship challenges. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where healing and growth can take place.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Nicola prioritizes the health and safety of her clients and the community. Therefore, if you or your child are unwell, she kindly requests that you refrain from attending appointments. This precaution is particularly important as our clinic also serves immunocompromised individuals. Rest assured, Nicola herself is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

To accommodate your schedule, appointments with Nicola are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. However, if you are covered by Southern Cross insurance, it is advisable to seek prior approval, as psychotherapy treatments are not automatically covered.
