At Your Performance, we understand the importance of personalized learning. Each workshop can be targeted to meet the learning objectives of the group while also addressing personal goals. Our specialist performance coach, Emma, is also a resource learning designer. This means that you will receive PowerPoint slides to take away for continuous learning.

The skills gained at Your Performance are not limited to the corporate world. They can also assist with speech and drama competitions, exams through Trinity College London or Speech New Zealand, and can be applied to school productions, debating, and amateur theatre shows.

Emma can also help you prepare for interviews, using techniques to build confidence and prepare for challenging interview questions. She will work with you to develop an interview plan that best reflects your goals.

Our learners can apply relevant public speaking and presentation techniques to their presentations, gaining confidence and effectively communicating their message. Each session at Your Performance is customized to suit the unique needs of the learners.

For those interested, options are available to sit exams in professional speaking, public speaking and communication, and communicating in leadership.

Emma has a passion for helping learners improve their personal confidence for life. She finds being a specialist performance coach rewarding as she witnesses the process of students and learners building confidence and achieving their personal goals.

At Your Performance, we also offer coaching and facilitation for children and adults with neurodivergent learning challenges. Emma specifically targets these sessions in a positive learning environment.

Emma's expertise is backed by her affiliations and memberships with various professional organizations, including the Career Development Association of New Zealand, Drama New Zealand, and Educators in Performance and Communication NZ. She is also listed on the Professional Index as a Voice Pro.

To further enhance her skills, Emma has trained at the highly regarded National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney. She has also gained experience as a full-time speech and drama teacher at Ascham Private School in Sydney, teaching 130 students from Prep to Year 12. Her transferable skills have also been applied to teaching in the highly regarded Ascham Holiday Academy Enrichment Programme.

Additionally, Emma has theater directing experience at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre Music and Drama departments of Epsom Girls Grammar School in Auckland, where she directed performances for over 80 students. She has also prepared learners for musical theatre audition preparation, with successful results leading to placements in highly regarded national and international training programs.

As a way of giving back to the community, Emma is a Starjam Tutor for adults with neurodivergent learning challenges, directing the Starjam End of Year Concert section. She finds it incredibly rewarding to see the progress and confidence of her Jammers.

Furthermore, Emma is an experienced corporate facilitator and resource learning designer for New Zealand government organizations.
