Welcome to Journey Early Learning Centre | Ballarat East! Located on Victoria Street, our centre is a point of interest for families in the area. At Journey, we believe that every child's journey begins here, and we are dedicated to providing a stimulating learning environment and nurturing educators for children aged six weeks to six years.

Our centre is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place for your little explorers to feel right at home. We have a seamless transition process, with many of our educators continuing on with us, creating a familiar and supportive environment. Journey Lucas is particularly suited for little adventurers who have a natural sense of curiosity.

From peek-a-boo to prep, we are here every step of the way. School transition is a major focus for us, and we work hard to ensure that it is a smooth process for our children. By providing a safe and secure environment, we help our children develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self for their journey ahead in school.

Our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. We have Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program receive ongoing support from teachers through our School Readiness Program.

As the centre manager of Journey Early Learning Ballarat East, my name is Aimee. With 7 years of experience in the Early Childhood sector and a Diploma in Early Education and Care, I am passionate about the early years of childhood. I strongly believe that these years are highly important as each child learns and grows into who they are. My goal is to provide a centre where children, families, and educators feel safe, secure, and supported. I strive to create an environment where children can explore, grow, and learn to reach their full potential in life.

I understand that joining the early childhood learning space can be overwhelming, and I take pride in supporting all families, children, and educators throughout their journey within our service. I believe in the importance of working collaboratively with families and educators to support and extend upon children's interests and learning.

At our centre, we believe that nature is the greatest teacher, and we incorporate nature-based play as a core part of our curriculum. This allows children to develop vital life skills such as confidence, independence, exploration, and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
