About the Business
Welcome to the Helen Jessen Early Learning Centre, located at Strathdale, Crook Street, 145. As an establishment that focuses on early childhood development, we are proud to provide two early learning centres for families with young children. Our centres are assessed and rated under the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development National Quality Framework, ensuring that your child receives the highest quality care and education.
When enrolling your child with us, you will have the opportunity to nominate your first and second preferred centre of care, allowing us to accommodate your preferences as much as possible. Please note that if you are seeking to enroll your child in Victoria, they must be immunized, as per the No Jab No Play policy.
We understand the critical importance of the ages three to five in a child's development. During this time, around 90% of a child's brain development has already occurred, laying the foundation for their future health, wellbeing, behavior, and learning. Our focus is to provide an environment that fosters positive relationships, meaningful experiences, and a supportive atmosphere for your child's growth.
Between the ages of three and five, children develop essential skills that help them manage their emotions, build resilience, form positive relationships, and focus their attention. These skills are vital for their transition into school and their ability to adapt to future challenges. Research consistently shows that quality education and care in the early years lead to better health, education, and employment outcomes later in life.
In 2022, funded kindergarten services are being expanded to include three-year-old and four-year-old children across Greater Bendigo, and local children will benefit from this additional education. As a partner of the Victorian Department of Education and Training, our goal is to ensure that all three and four-year-old children have easy access to contemporary kindergarten programs.
We encourage you to visit the Department of Education's website for practical advice on parenting and comprehensive enrollment information for preschool, kindergarten, and school. Additionally, the Department of Human Services website provides more information on the Family Tax Benefit and Child Care Subsidy, while the Department of Health and Human Services offers services and supports for families, children, and individuals with disabilities.
At the Helen Jessen Early Learning Centre, we believe that quality education and care in the early years shape every child's future. Our dedicated team is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports your child's development and learning. Contact us today to learn more about our programs and how we can contribute to your child's journey towards a bright and successful future.
