"I recently had my secondhand Kia Rio purchased through Barramundi motors (for my daughter to attend university at Casuarina campus) serviced under extended warranty. Soon after my daughter noticed the car was not responding very well especially when starting from a stationary position, accelerating and going from first to second gear. She described it as being sluggish. She tried using premium fuel to improve its performance but after several weeks it continued to surge when she drove it. She uses the car to commute over 140kms a day from the rural area to town, sharing the road with work vehicles, road trains, caravans and over zealous drivers, so naturally I was concerned for her safety. So I sought a second opinion elsewhere and was told the problem was definitely the ignition coils; that had incidentally not been changed out at the last scheduled service. Naturally my primary concern was if the car was not operating at its optimal performance, my daughters safety was severely compromised. Upon presenting the dire scenario and second opinion to the Barramundi Service Manager and asking why the ignition coils had not been replaced, senior customer service operators tried to blame junior staff for the over sight and I lost confidence in management at Barramundi Motors. I made it clear management are held accountable and are also responsible for authorising repairs under warranty. After arguing my case with the Service Manager, although strongly supportive of the service department, they promptly apologised for the what seemed to be a miscommunication, the car was properly serviced and the issue was resolved to my satisfaction and consequently restored my faith in management. I am confident that Barramundi Motors will learn from this experience, deal with future customer concerns seriously and respectfully and that we can maintain a good working relationship as customer and service provider."
"I put my Volkswagen cady in for a service and a puncture repair. Car was serviced and the tyre was not repaired and they charged me for it. When I queried this I was rudely told that I was a lier. I then requested them to repair the tyre for no charge as I had already been charged for a puncture repair when no puncture repair had been performed and I was rudely told no. I then requested to speak to the boss or manager and was told that he didn't want to hear about it. Disgraceful costumer service."
