"What a lovely location overlooking the marina and seeing the sunset every day. Staff we spoke to were fabulous and accommodating. Apartment was in need of an update for the price we paid. Needs to be decorated more brightly."

"Loved our stay at Cullen Bay resorts. Had an older apartment (well priced ). It was very comfortable if a little aged, lovely view over the marina. Plenty of room to sit in lounge or on balcony just watching the boats come and go. So relaxing! Easy to walk to Cullen Bay restaurants, but easy to eat in when we chose to! We stayed for a month and was just great, will be back"

"Positives: 1. Proximity to the public bus system was excellent and free travel for seniors was a bonus. 2. The fact that it was in walking distance from the restaurants and cafes and the beautiful beachfront was great. 3. The pool was good but needs a spruce up of furniture and paintwork. 4. Generally staff were polite and as helpful as they could be given the lack of equipment etc. Negatives: 1. For the money we paid we felt the accommodation was sub standard. The facility is tired and needs an injection of money and a good facelift. 2. The room was ok size wise, however, it lacked class. It needs to be painted, furniture needs updating, equipment needs updating, curtains need to be fixed and/or replaced. 3. The bathroom was small, the shower curtain took us back to the 70s, the shower base leaked after every use which made the surrounding floor very slippery and dangerous, the toilet seat was not secure and the exhaust fan was ineffective. 4. We didn't like the fact that the balcony was not private from the neighbours on either side. The tiles on the balcony were lifting and dislodged presenting a severe trip hazard and they were discoloured, dirty and unsightly. 5. We had to ask for things like a hairdrier and clothes airer, something we thought would have been standard equipment in the Darwin climate. 6. While the location gave access to restaurants and cafes its distance from supermarkets, chemists and other shops was a negative. If we wanted anything that was not available in a cafe or restaurant we had to travel into Darwin."

"The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with effective air conditioning. The housekeeping was a little hit and miss with having to wash your own cups and glasses etc. Over all the complex could do with a coat of paint and some refurbishment. We would stay there again."

"Had a lovely stay. Was upgraded to an apartment which suited us perfectly, as we then had a kitchen and we were able to be more self-sufficient. Had more space to lounge out at end of day as well. Great views, location was perfect to walk to Mindil Markets, Cullen Bay Restaurants and easy to drive into and out of town. Staff at reception were always very friendly and helpful. Alison was an absolute gem as she was very attentive and helped us out a number of times. Parking especially in the open air parking lot was easy. (My only criticism is possibly putting special rubber stoppers on bottoms of chairs as the chairs were often heard being scraped across the floor in the unit above). The rest far outweighed this small inconvenience."
