At Mayhem café, we pride ourselves on serving great coffee, providing friendly service, and offering tasty progressive food. Our menu is designed to cater to all tastes, featuring a range of dishes from classic breakfast fare to more adventurous options. To keep things exciting, we frequently change our specials and bring back old favorites through our specials board.

In addition to our regular café offerings, we also open on Friday nights from 5pm to serve Italian-inspired dinner dishes. All items on our menu can be ordered for take away, allowing you to enjoy our delicious food wherever you go.

Thirsty? Mayhem Café is a fully licensed venue, offering a selection of beers, bubbles, wines, and spirits. Our wine selection is regularly alternated to keep things interesting and cater to different preferences.

When it comes to breakfast, we have a variety of options to satisfy your cravings. From the classic two eggs with bacon, hash brown, and toast, to the Moroccan spiced pumpkin and mushroom on toast with turmeric hummus and poached egg, our menu has something for everyone. We also offer smoked salmon on beetroot, potato, and thyme rosti, as well as a milk bun with crispy bacon, fried egg, and baby spinach.

For lunch, our menu includes options such as toasted English muffins with poached eggs, spinach, and hollandaise sauce, with choices of smoked salmon, bacon, or mushroom. We also offer a range of burgers, including beef, crumbed chicken, and vegetable options, served with cheese, crunchy slaw, onion rings, tomato chutney, and a side of fries.

Mayhem Café is owned and operated by Greig and Cathy Lamont. With over 26 years of experience as a professional chef, Greig has worked in various establishments around the world, ranging from fine dining restaurants to 5-star hotels and country lodges. His last position as Head Chef at Piccolo Cucina, one of Cairns' best Italian restaurants, showcases his culinary expertise.
