Since its opening in 2022, our center has been dedicated to providing intervention and assessment services to clients in the Townsville area, as well as online via Telehealth. At The Mental Health Centre, our treatment goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply and better cope with changes. We specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma, offering both face-to-face and Telehealth appointments to suit your needs and preferences. Our team of experienced professionals utilizes evidence-based intervention methodologies, including cognitive behavior therapy, schema therapy, and eye movement desensitization reprocessing, to guide you towards a healthier and happier life.

In addition to our core treatment areas, we also provide comprehensive assessments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) in children aged 6 to 18 years. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties in maintaining attention, being easily distracted, issues with memory, frequently losing items, problems remaining still, excessive talking, and more. Our assessments aim to accurately diagnose and develop personalized intervention plans for children with ADHD.

The Mental Health Centre was founded by Ashten in 2022, with a vision to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking mental health support. In December 2022, we joined forces with the multidisciplinary and like-minded team at City Psychology, further expanding our capabilities. Together with City Psychology and their associates, our team can provide a wide range of assessment and psychological intervention services for children and adults, as well as specialized intervention for sleep disorders.
