At Colony 47's Housing Connect Front Door, we provide a range of essential services for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our Crisis Support Front Door offers immediate crisis intervention, ensuring that those without a safe place to stay are supported into short-term accommodation options.
Additionally, our Private Rental Assistance Front Door assists individuals with bond, rent advancements, rent debt, and removals assistance. This enables them to secure new private rental tenancies or remain in their current rental properties.
We also refer individuals to our Housing Connect Support partners for ongoing case management through our Case Management Front Door. Moreover, our Social Housing applications Front Door helps create and update applications for Public Housing, Community Housing, Aboriginal Housing, and the Private Rental Incentive Scheme.
As part of our Information Support Front Door, we provide valuable information, advice, and referrals to various services including emergency relief, family violence support, mental health services, financial assistance, pet boarding, legal support, and more.
Our Inreach program is dedicated to supporting individuals who are sleeping rough and find it challenging to engage with services. Inreach workers bring our Housing Connect Front Door services directly to where they are staying, such as Hobart City Mission's Safe Day Space and other shelters. We also assist in connecting them with GPs and provide support and encouragement for their overall well-being and safety.
Through our Inreach program, we have successfully built reliable and trusting relationships, enabling those who have been sleeping rough to better engage with our Housing Connect services.

We are proud to share some of our accomplishments, including placing 162 households into safe short-term accommodation and assisting 916 households with rent or bond to secure private rentals.

"The most amazing and supportive staff, working hard in a tough environment with limited outcomes and at times complex clients. Each staff member has shown dedication, honesty and respect. The Hobart location is tough with no free parking and being on the 3rd floor however I understand this was a department requirement certainly prefer the old building for parking and a less clinical feel however colony have done a great job working with what they have to make the environment as welcoming as they can. Rosny offers free parking however a smaller office, all the same no matter which one you go to the staff will assist any way they can"
