"This is a delightful neighbourhood pub. It serves the local community and the many visitors who visit kunanyi. There are music performances and the like in the evenings and weekends. The cheeseburger is generously served, and so is the beef pie. Service is good but can be stained during crowded periods. Support local, and enjoy coffee or a meal here after your walk around the majestic mountain."
"We stumbled across this little gem on our way from Hobart to Mount Wellington. It was just before 6pm on a Thursday night so it was fairly quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. The menu didn't have the widest range of options but it suited us. We both went for chicken parmigiana. We aren't big eaters so opted for the small serving, which we still only just managed to get through. I had spicy salami on my parma for something different and was very happy. The chips were also delicious and the coleslaw was crisp and tasty. Overall we couldn't have asked for more. Oh, and as the name suggests, the views are dominated by fern trees."
