Barwon Health Vaccination Centre 1-17 Reynolds Road, Belmont, Victoria 3216
About the Business
Welcome to the Barwon Health Vaccination Centre, located at 1-17 Reynolds Road in Belmont, Australia. As an establishment focused on health, we are a point of interest for residents in the Greater Geelong region. Our institution, Barwon Health Immunisation Service, operates under contract for the City of Greater Geelong, providing immunisation services to all residents in the area.
At our centre, we offer a comprehensive range of vaccines on the National Immunisation Program Schedule. This includes vaccines for infants, pre-schoolers, secondary students, and adults. Our dedicated nurses run immunisation clinics each month across Greater Geelong and the Golden Plains Shire to ensure convenient access for all residents.
To book an appointment for yourself or your family, you will need to sign up to use our online portal. The process is simple and outlined in the immunisation booking online instructions, which can be accessed by clicking here. If you encounter any difficulties with the online booking system, please feel free to call us at 03 4215 6963, option 9.
Please note that all immunisation clinics, except for those in the Golden Plains Shire, require bookings. However, the Golden Plains Shire sessions operate on a walk-in basis. Ensure you check the reminder SMS sent to you the day before your appointment for the specific venue.
In light of the ongoing pandemic, we prioritize the health and safety of our visitors. We kindly request that all visitors practice social distancing and good personal hygiene, including regular hand washing and the use of hand hygiene solutions. Additionally, masks are mandatory for everyone aged eight and above. We strongly recommend conducting a rapid antigen test (RAT) and obtaining a negative result before entering any Barwon Health building.
Influenza, or flu, vaccination is highly recommended and free for all pregnant individuals at any stage of pregnancy. This vaccine not only protects you but also safeguards your baby from influenza. Paid vaccines are available for family and friends. Furthermore, pregnant women and their partners are eligible for a free whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine, which is recommended between 20 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. This vaccine is crucial in protecting your baby against whooping cough.
Our immunisation service also extends to secondary schools in the Geelong region. If receiving immunisation in a school setting is not suitable or if your adolescent is home-schooled, appointments can be made at one of our community centres. For more information on our secondary school program, please visit our website.
For further details regarding the immunisation schedule in Victoria and vaccine eligibility criteria, as well as Department of Health fact sheets in various languages, please refer to the resources available on our website.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders, both past and present.
Thank you for choosing Barwon Health Vaccination Centre. We are committed to providing excellent immunisation services to ensure the health and well-being of our community.
