"It's annoying when you have to wait for more then 2 hours in call and no one picking up. And have to wait more then an hour in the office trying to speak to the staff. This is my 5th call in a week and no one picking up so I finally decided to visit the office in Hobart CBD. But not found any solution so finally someone picked up the call and was transfered to different department and have to wait more half and hour and no one picking up the call again. When we want to sign up for new account staff pickup in less then half an hour but when we want to claim or cancel the account because of annoying service. Bupa insurance was much more quicker then medibank and cheap as well. Just a honest review I hope you to fix the issue. Regards Dipen"
"Update 24/4/23: Moved to St Lukes; the transition was easy and seamless along with a recent hospital claim, they are slightly cheaper and the service and experience is greatly improved. Original review: Nothing against the staff of this office. Regarding Medibank as an organisation however I am appalled. We are moving to another provider. - Ambiguous claims process if not blatant fraud. - 5 attempts over 5 weeks to at last speak to a member of their complaints team. - Total lack of transparency to individual customers regarding the data breach."
"Hobart Medibank is conveniently located and staff have always been very helpful - so the 5 stars is for them. Recently I needed to ring Medibank about our premiums (related to a change in travel arrangements) - it was clear to me that I needed to speak to a staff member. My call went straight through to their central number and it was pretty frustrating dealing with their automated voice system asking me to enter an array of irrelevant numbers on the keyboard. So virtually no stars to their system, because there must be a lot of situations where the caller knows they will need to speak to an operator - and the current system is not helpful in this regard. Finally - the automated system gave up trying to direct me and I was eventually put through to staff who dealt with my query very politely and efficiently - so 5 stars to these staff members."
