At Springfield Gardens, we offer a wide range of programs that aim to provide a well-rounded education for your child. Our curriculum follows the Australian Curriculum standards, but we also prioritize inclusion, social and emotional learning, and real-life skills through our unique "Fresh @ Springfield" café. In this café, students learn practical skills in a fully functioning kitchen and garden that must be seen to be believed.

We are also proud to support Canteen, an organization that helps young people impacted by cancer. Research has shown that young people affected by cancer are more likely to face mental health issues like anxiety and depression. By supporting Canteen, we can make a positive impact on their mental health and overall wellbeing. This Bandanna Day, we encourage you to purchase a bandanna for $5 from our school office, with all proceeds going towards supporting young Aussies affected by cancer. Students can wear their bandannas to school on Friday, October 28th, to celebrate National Bandanna Day.

In addition to our educational programs, we have important announcements and reminders for our school community. Subway orders must be placed by 9:30am tomorrow, and envelopes can be collected from the school office. We are excited to participate in National Bandanna Day this year, allowing students to purchase bandannas for $5 each and wear them to school on October 28th.

Please note that on September 28, 2022, the Australian Education Union has directed its members to participate in a two-hour stop work action from 8:30am to 10:30am. As a result, all schools, including Springfield Gardens, will be temporarily closed for educational instruction until after 10:30am. We ask families to arrange for students to arrive at 10:30am, as we will be unable to provide adequate duty of care during the stop work action. Normal school arrangements will resume once the school reopens.

Lastly, we have important announcements regarding Sav order forms and the cancellation of the Grade 4-6 softball session. Sav order forms must be returned to the school office tomorrow, as late orders will not be accepted. The softball session for Grades 4-6 this afternoon has been cancelled, and parents are requested to collect their students at 2:45pm.
