Reviews
"This is an incredibly nice place to stay. One of the nicest I have stayed in. The view was fantastic, the home made bread and cakes were fantastic, I really didn't want to leave. I loved the quirky old music played throughout the house in the evening, albeit through Apple Music, but it really complimented the feel of the stay. The owner has done an amazing job at knowing just what small things are needed to make a perfect stay."
"I very thoroughly enjoyed my week long stay at Grand Vue. I honestly couldn't fault a thing, it is quite simply one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in! It is partly because it's a beautiful house, in a beautiful location. But I think it is a bit more than just that- the place has a real inviting warmth and cosiness other places don't always have. I like to think it's the staff. From the beginning Ashley, the host/owner was so welcoming and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so helpful with all my enquiries and requests. It has an awesome location, situated in the very pretty Battery Point so it is quiet but convenient. There are cafes, bakeries, interesting shops and restaurants an easy walk down the road and the CBD is a brisk walk a way. The room (and whole house) was beautifully furnished with gorgeous views from every window. The communal kitchen was a particular treat! It is well stocked and features fresh bread and yummy daily baked treats you can help yourself to. I raided the kitchen every night for something to accompany my nightly cup of tea. Made my nights deliciously cosy!"
"Absolutely unique hotel and experience. The hotel exudes a warm welcome, from the spacious communal sitting rooms, to the deliciously aromatic (and well stocked) kitchen, to the comfortable and elegant dining room, to the luxurious, tastefully furnished rooms. It was like coming home, if you lived in a gorgeous, grand home of great taste. We had high expectations and they were universally exceeded. Thank you Brock, Ashley and staff. We are coming back, see you around the 26th of May!"
