"By far the best experience I’ve had at a hair salon! I see K’cie for a red/copper colour and I always come away with the perfect colour and tone. If you’re wanting a bright and long lasting colour then this is the place to go. The service is always extremely friendly and they have great availability :-)"
"I didn’t want to have to do this as I thought my hair was fine , I went to pandora and had Casey she was very lovely . I had black hair that had been black for years so I understand that my hair would be hard to lift , I had a bleach bath and then more bleach put on the ends to lift the darker bits . I wanted to go as light as I could go but only got to a dark dark brown when I got told I was gonna be a level 5 at least . I paid $410 just for my hair to look the same and very very patchy . I’m really upset and cried as soon as I got home and got a proper look at it . It’s now fried from the bleach so I’ve had to cut a whole bunch off (after them photos were taken) there’s random patches of blonde and my fringe got fried off and bits of my hair are fried off"
"Detailed review because miscommunication is a theme. Place is generally very friendly. Nice atmosphere, tea and bickie, etc. First cut was good, no corrections needed. Through repeat hair cuts there was multiple issues. I had my hair lightened, said I wanted a natural looking dark blonde. I ended up extremely blonde with some pure white sections. Bleach placement was really good. Was told it looked good in the salon, but everyone I knew said it looked bad, and most importantly it wasn't what I wanted. Got in for a correction to get it toned darker and had someone repeatedly coming over to tell me I was wrong in various ways, inc. "that's what bleach does" as though I hadn't had my hair bleached before... I've had it lightened my whole life, it's always been evenly toned and not that blonde. It was the first time my hair had been virgin in years. Felt like I was threatened when told if they toned it darker blonde for me, "it will be brown" as though shades of blonde don't exist. Had to be reassured by my hairdresser it wouldn't be. Fortunately I got a darker blonde like I wanted after all the exhausting communication. I actually cried during from stress, which was embarrassing. I had asked for the sides shorter but was debated on it because the hair dresser wanted them longer, so I didn't get them shorter and disliked the sides as expected. Hairdresser often debated the brief and made me doubt myself, so I never really left with what I wanted, leading to adjustments/growing out periods. i.e. I never wanted forward bangs but the hair would always be cut for them, despite me saying I didn't style it that way, pushing my hair back and showing how I parted it to the side. Hairdresser never took this into account and kept pushing the hair forward. Told "that's how it wants to sit." Product exists for this reason. Asked for the back shorter the next and final cut, because of my fast growing hair. Another debate because the hairdresser liked it longer. Asked for shorter layers on top at the back so that the hair tapers in then out to create a pleasant shape, was told it would look 'disconnected.' She said she wouldn't put the layers in until she had done a technique with the scissors where the hair is sliced into. Never got the layers. I showed a video reference of me with very layered hair at the top-back section, but the reference was ignored and received badly because the bottom length was shorter. I wasn't referencing the bottom length, but the top layers. I had photos and a simple 2 min video reference of the exact cut being done on a mannequin, and the hair dresser did not want to use it, said we'd moved beyond the ref. I only ever wanted that exact hair cut. The layers now appears like stringy wisps, too long where I wanted them to taper in, and the overall shape sits badly. The waves are cut up unevenly and look strange. Got told my hair is less wavy now by the hairdresser.... I had said I need it cut to look good regardless of how straight or wavy it is that day, as it changes, especially when I style it at home. Friends and gf agreed it didn't look very good after a wash, which is when it waves more, "looked better before you went in." Depressing. Then the price for a cut went up to $92 ($20 increase) and I was told that I was mischarged every time I came beforehand, for a child's hair cut. A little insulting to the intelligence. Really didn't like that last cut, especially as the price went up so dramatically. But no refunds are offered, only do-overs, and I was told I have issues "every time" (twice, and their fault) so I'm not the right client for them, so it would be the last do-over. I was assuming each time I tried again and communicated more I'd get closer to my goal of what I actually wanted... the reference. I decided to take the final loss, not get the do-over that was offered as severance, and find another hair salon that will listen to me during the cut so that do-overs aren't required. Attached photos showing the hair cut... it doesn't look like a fresh cut at all. Simply not a $92 haircut."
