City Beach - Charlestown

"I was there last Thursday (11/5/23) at about 8pm. The door security buzzers went off when a young black man and young white lady walked out. They were probably 18 or younger. About 4 staff came up to them and made the boy show his bags and empty his pockets. The staff never once asked the girl to show her bags or empty her pockets. You would think in this day and age especially young staff that people would be racist. Disgusting behaviour by the staff"

"The service was good, although it take a long time to get the information I was after on a product, but I didn't think the variety of stock & available stock was that good. I really preferred City Beach the way it used to be some years back, just with the major surf brands."

"So I did my own research after 6 months ago I noticed there were Zero women shoes on sale, I count 98 pares of discounted/on sale men's shoes. At this time I asked the storeman, why? Their response was, Women buy more shoes than men. I was shocked walked out, purchased a pair of shoes from Platypus, fast forward to Tuesday 11th October, I need a new pair of shoes, again walk in, and this time I seen signs saying sale sale sale.. I followed the signs and found rows and rows of mens shoes again on sale. I asked another person, hey where are the women's shoes, the lady herself was walking around saying I know they're here somewhere, and after following her sheepishly, she led for to TWO pairs of women's shoes on sale. So 6 months apart, and again absolutely disgusted that nothing has changed with the lack of sales on women's shoes in store at Charlestown. I suggest everyone go have a look and provide this feedback. Women are earning less, and paying more. Let me guess, the owner is a man?"
