"Celebrated my mothers 60th birthday here. Ordered the arancini balls (arrived cold and found the rice to be hard but had a nice flavour), croquettes, cocktails, pizzas and pasta. They were kind to shout a tiramisu on house as a cake for my mother and brought it out with a candle. Also had the saffron pannacotta which is one of my fav desserts ever. Found it to be insanely hot inside, and we were sweating non stop and wish the heater could be turned off or reduced. Overall, a nice italian restaurant, good food and good atmosphere."
"Was checking reviews & looking for somewhere to have a good "italian" pizza in Newcastle & thankgoodness we decided to go here! Busy for a Monday night, but ANZAC Day tmrw, but im sure this place is always busy, and so they should be! Starting off with a Friendly welcome to be seated, quick but not intrusive service, entree of Croquettes, then Mains 5hr Slow Cooked Pork with Orange, Fennel Salad & Potato Truffle, prosciutto Pizza-All Amazing, but then my Partner ordered Sticky Date Pudding & that was it for him 5 out of 5!! It is Busy, noisy, fast paced but sooo glad we found this place, we would highly recommend!"
"Great authentic Italian find! We decided at late notice in a Monday to eat out & this was one of the few restaurants open. I'm glad all the others were closed as we may not have found this delight! Very generous sized meals, from the bread with olive oil / balsmaic, to the huge entrees of calamari and zucchini flowers, and the abundance of seafood in the marinara and large spread of veal in the scallopini. Service was present without being overbearing. We grabbed a take away child size pizza from the wood fired oven for our sick son who's stayed home and it looked fabulous & smelt amazing on the drive home. My only complaint would be the sheer variety of options of meals, pasta and pizza, so I suppose we'd better come back then!"
"Good but not great. Food was about a C, both pizza & pasta quite bland. Waiting staff did a great job and the turnaround was quick! However, with the front of house manager valuing efficiency & ordering people around, the homey and warm culture of an Italian food & dining experience was sorely lost."
