AAFCANS ADFA CANTEEN

Welcome to AAFCANS ADFA CANTEEN! Located at Campbell, Long Tan Road, 33 in Australia, our institution is a cafe, establishment, food point of interest, and store all rolled into one. As a not-for-profit organization, we have been supporting our soldiers and airmen/airwomen since 1915, being owned by the Army and Air Force.

At AAFCANS, we are always striving to improve and provide the best service possible. That's why we have recently designed and purpose-built a new mobile amenities vehicle, which has been a great addition to our fleet. We have also embraced technology-driven service delivery, and as part of our strategic plan, we are piloting an online ordering and delivery service called 'AAFCANS On-Demand' at RAAF Base Amberley. This allows us to expand our amenities reach and provide a convenient food and retail delivery service to our members.

In January 2020, we revamped the interior of our Holsworthy AAFCANS Cafe, giving it a modern and comfortable space for our customers. With a relaxed industrial style ambiance, designer lighting, and reclaimed timber features, our cafe is the perfect place to enjoy our gourmet coffee, new tea range, and delicious food offerings. We have also added soft furnishings, casual home-style dining tables, high and low seating, board games, books, and a 65-inch big screen for our guests to enjoy some precious me time or engage in a chat while savoring their quick coffee fix or snack.

We take pride in giving back to the community, and through our automated retail vending program, we contributed a significant amount to Air Force and Army welfare in the 2018/2019 financial year. RAAF Base Williamtown, RAAF Base Edinburgh, and RAAF Base Darwin were among the top recipients of our contributions. Additionally, we have partnered with Beraldo Coffee, an Australian veteran-owned coffee supplier, to provide our customers with high-quality coffee. Beraldo Coffee will also support us with professional barista training for our local cafe team.

AAFCANS operates a diverse network of food services across 30 Army and Air Force bases and ADF facilities throughout Australia. Our facilities are specifically designed to meet the needs of our soldiers, airmen/airwomen, and base residents. From canteens and kiosks to a tavern and bistro, we have a wide range of food service options available. We also have a network of mobile amenities, including food vans, all-terrain mobile amenities kiosks, coffee carts, retail pods, and container kiosks, providing convenient services wherever our troops may be.

In addition to food services, we also offer various other amenities on base, such as barbers, hairdressers, post offices, mechanical workshops, clothing retailers, dry cleaners, photographers, and banks. These services are provided on our behalf by our licensed agents, ensuring that our members have access to all the essentials they need.

When you spend your money at an AAFCANS branded vending machine, you are not only getting quality products but also contributing directly to your base's welfare. We disburse profits from our automated retail vending program to Defense welfare funds on the bases where the profits were generated.

At AAFCANS, our core purpose is to provide Defense members with convenient access to quality food, beverage, and retail items while supporting base welfare. We are always looking for ways to improve our services and give back to our community. Any excess funds we receive are disbursed into outlet facility improvements and services to benefit our Defense force personally and the base community.
