Vinnies Kippax
About the Business
Welcome to Vinnies Kippax, located at 60 Hardwick Crescent in Holt, Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and store, we are proud to be a part of the St Vincent de Paul Society, which offers over 200 services to help those in need. Our institution has a longstanding commitment to supporting the constitutional recognition of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
At Vinnies, we understand that sometimes families face financial hardships and struggle to cover the basics. That's where we step in to provide practical support and ease the pressure. By choosing to support Vinnies, you can give Australians facing poverty another choice and make a positive impact in their lives.
The St Vincent de Paul Society in Australia is comprised of more than 45,000 dedicated members and volunteers who work tirelessly to assist people in need and combat social injustice across the country. Internationally, the Society operates in 153 countries and boasts over 800,000 members. Our commitment to service is guided by our mission, vision, and values, which include loyalty, understanding, respect, and challenging the causes of poverty and human injustice.
We are proud to be a nominating organisation for the Australian Government's School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI), ensuring that students have access to the resources they need for their education. Additionally, we are always looking for motivated individuals to get involved in our programs, events, and services nationwide.
At Vinnies Kippax, we believe in actively speaking out against the causes of poverty and inequality on behalf of the people we serve. We have seen firsthand the impact our assistance can have on individuals like Samantha, whose life has been turned around with a helping hand from Vinnies. We have also supported individuals like J, who faced an injury at work and found themselves in need of assistance, and D, who unexpectedly lost her job just before her 64th birthday.
As a lay Catholic organization, we are dedicated to working towards a more just and compassionate society. We also acknowledge that we are on Aboriginal land and pay our respects to all traditional custodians. Our website may contain images of deceased members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, which are used with the utmost respect and appreciation.
The St Vincent de Paul Society National Council of Australia Inc., with ABN 50 748 098 845, ARBN 612 807 995, and Charity Number 23838, is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient. "The donation hours should be available on the website, I left work early to get there before 5pm only to be told they don't accept donations after 4pm"
"Very expensive, $30 each for jumpers. It used to be reasonably priced, but the prices get higher every month."
"This store is incredible. The range of everyday items mixed with vintage and unusual finds is abundant. It is neat and tidy with isles easy to access. Visually the store is immensely appealing along with friendly staff."
"Walking into this place was like stepping into the pages of a beautiful vintage catalogue.. but everything has an affordable price tag! A gorgeously set up and very house proud shop that have gone out of their way to make sure everything is organised, clean and proudly displayed for your shopping enjoyment. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and were available without being smothering. There are so many utterly gorgeous items for sale and everything was reasonably priced. You can't help but go back to the door for a handy complimentary basket because you'll definitely find more than a handful of wonderful bargins. There are so many deals as well for concession card holders and information displayed about how your purchases are helping the homeless, needy and struggling families. The change rooms are huge and with more than enough room to strut your stuff in front of the mirror as you try on the amazing selection of clothing. The children's section especially has many rare and unique toys and clothes. This is definitely an op shop to visit"
