About the Business
Welcome to Bendora Boarding Kennels & Cat Flats, your trusted and affordable pet boarding facility located in Watson, on the Federal Highway in Australia. We understand that your furry friends are an important part of your family, and we strive to provide them with the utmost care and comfort during their stay with us.
At Bendora, we have a heartfelt story that lies behind our establishment. Unfortunately, in 2023, our beloved kennel manager, Dianne, and her husband Craig, were tragically taken from us in a devastating accident. Dianne was a pillar of our community, known for her calm and reassuring presence. She always had kind words and a helping hand for everyone. We deeply miss her and will forever cherish her memory.
When we interviewed Dianne back in 2017, she expressed her love for working with animals and the joy she found in the variety of animals she interacted with every day. She had a wealth of experience and held certificates in Animal Studies and Companion Animal Services. Dianne's passion for animals extended beyond the kennel, as she shared her home with five cats, two dogs, a horse, snakes, lizards, fish, and birds.
Our customers have shared their positive experiences with us, expressing their satisfaction with the care their pets receive at Bendora. "Left my 7 month Dane here for a long weekend, the first time she had spent time away from me. The owners were wonderful and truly care about the animals left with them. She was placed in Kennels near other puppies and l was allowed to go down with her both at drop off and pick up. Yes she was super excited to see me when l returned, and was as happy and healthy as the day l dropped her off. They told me about how she went while in their care. l would/will use Bendora again when going away, as they care about the animals left in their charge."
"We left our dog and cat at this kennel for two weeks. I was extremely nervous as this was the first time our animals had been to a boarding kennel. This kennel does have slightly aged facilities, but our animals were happy and clearly well cared for. Our dog was in the day run when we returned and we could see her from afar, happily running around. Our cat was it's usual grumpy self when we picked him up and had been snuggled up sleeping happily and warm. Although not being as good as being home, we left feeling very satisfied that our animals were well cared for."
"Always reliable and the carers do what they can. But no dog walking services are available- and essentially dogs always barking in concrete cages."
"My dogs were in their care for 24 hours and when I picked them up they were deeply distressed. Hearts racing. Panting like they'd just done a marathon. One of them had damaged their vocal cords and is still hoarse 5 days later. We've never had this happen at any other boarding kennel. I don't know why they were so stressed but it was not ok. I had a similar experience the first time I left my pets there in 2005. I thought they may have improved since those days but apparently not. I wont be using them again."
