"Having been to most Chinese restaurants (Cantonese style) to Canberra over the lats 12 years - the food at Fortune Box is the tastiest and the most authentic. It'll be hard to go pass this local hidden gem after our first visit. PS Our tip is to go pass the English menu that offers typical Aussie-Chinese dishes and ask the Owner Mr Simon Chan for his pick for classic Cantonese/Hong Kong style food."

"When we walked in and getting seated, another table of 4 got up and left, presumably because they were fed up with waiting for someone to take their order. Should have taken this as a sign to also walk out. We ordered two mains, one entree. The entree came out last, and was inedible. The batter was uncooked, squid was chewy and flavourless. Advised the pork belly in chilli bean sauce we ordered was not available, so offered the braised pork belly with preserved veggies instead. What came out was simply braised pork belly that had seen better days with three stems of bok choy. Grandma’s tofu was bland and flavourless. It lacked the preserved veggies and spiciness. Had to help ourselves to get the menus and cutlery. Would not return."

"Loved Everything!!!! Took a little while to be served but good food takes time! The server was a bit blunt at first but was actually very sweet to us. He even brought us some fruit mid way as a palate cleanser which was unexpected but really nice. We genuinely loved everything we ordered and will absolutely be coming back!"

"The boss is very polite, as a Chinese food, he is easy-going and serious about cooking food, which is a respect for diners and food. You can choose your seat at random in the restaurant. There are only two people running the restaurant and they are more focused on making the food than serving it. Would not recommend eating here if you are in a rush, good food takes time to cook"

"No one to tell customers if or where they can sit, waiter/cook checked watch before confirming that we can order after seated 3 hours before closing, the fried rice had lettuce in it which was just too strange and at $19.80 for fried rice it wasn't a pleasant dish, garlic beef was filled with cucumber which also seems weird and the roast duck was cold... The spring rolls were fresh and hot. I would not visit again. The main came out 20 minutes before the entree."
