"I never bothered to write Google reviews or any reviews for that matter - but this place is day light robbery. I really wish 0 stars is an option. I’m always up for trying new places and foods, so when I saw this pop up on Google search for “good food near me” with seemingly beaming reviews, I walked across the road. This was Saturday 26th August, just before 1pm. The place has no ambiance and there were less than 10 people inside, with a family of three that seems to be friends of those preparing food behind the counter and weren’t customers. It’s like they were just hanging out there. I had my doubts already about a restaurant that is virtually empty at lunch time on a Saturday. A guy in front of me order something and then we were both waiting, and waiting, and waiting for our food. I got my Kukula buger after 10mins. I thought this burger must be some burger to take 10mins to make. When I left the guy was still waiting. I sat outside somewhere because it was simply too stuffy inside the restaurant. I opened the box and immediately knew I made a big mistake. First there was a very long piece of black hair stuck to the burger. Not what I ordered. The bun was cold and close to tasting stale. The fillings inside - two thin tiny pieces or overcooked and dry chicken breast, a tiny bit of lettuce, one piece of tomato, and some spicy sauce that look very similar to those bottled sauces you can get from Nando’s. I’m not sure this place knows how to make burgers or run a restaurant in general, and how they can justify the $16.45 price tag for this hell of a burger. It was unappetising, compounded by the extra piece of hair, and the type of cold customer service I got when ordering. I threw the burger away after eating those two slices of chicken. I never throw food away. This is how disgusting the food and the whole dining experience. Save your money and just walk around the corner to Oports or Maccas if you want fast foods that at least have some expectable standards. You’ll be a lot more satisfied at those places than this terribly disappointing joint."
"We had 5 ppl and ordered $68 and everyone was full. Definitely a 5 star! Chicken wings are juicy and love the chicken paella!"
"Their grilled chicken is always good, full of flavour and charcoal smoke. Their chips are one of the best I have ever tried. They were crispy golden delicious. The only gripe I have is that there was just strange smell in the restaurant towards the back part."
"We have been here two times. The food is nice however you have to be happy to wait 30-60’mins, the problem is it wasn’t even busy, I get it if it’s busy that’s understandable, the first time the owner walked over and apologised and said sorry for the wait, that was like 30 mins wait there was only me and my friend in the shop, we went back the following day, there was lucky 5-7 people in the restaurant and 4 different tables all complaining about how long it was. They where bringing out the wrong things to tables and people sending back the food saying it wasn’t ours, then 1 hour later they brought our quarter chicken and said the chips are on the way. We had finished the chicken waited another 10 mins and my friend walked up to the register and said. Is this a joke? Cancel the chips I’ll get a refund, it’s such a shame the restaurant has a lot of potential. They need to train there staff properly. Maybe get a manger who has experience in running a restaurant and a team. Other wise it won’t last"
"I recently visited Kukula's chicken restaurant with a friend, and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The menu at Kukula's is fantastic, with a wide range of delicious chicken dishes and sides to choose from. We both opted for the chicken ribs, chicken liver and chicken palle, which was absolutely delicious - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were also top-notch, with crispy fries and fresh, tangy coleslaw. The atmosphere at Kukula's is warm and inviting, with a cozy and comfortable dining area that's perfect for catching up with friends. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed without interrupting our conversation. Overall, I highly recommend Kukula's chicken restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're dining with friends or on your own, you're sure to have a fantastic experience at Kukula's."
