Mantra Crown Towers Surfers Paradise 19 Palm Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Queensland 4217

"This is the third time we have stayed here at the crown towers. The rooms are always clean and the hotel has all amenities you would expect/need for your stay. It's close enough to walk into surfers and the tram stop is just across the road, so is the beach so it's situated beautifully. The pools are great... there's a heated pool with a Spa, sauna rooms, a gym and changing rooms and there are two decently sized outdoor pools, one child one and one pool that runs the length of the outside and is beautifully landscaped. The thai restaurant underneath the hotel is average and I would recommend walking into town for something else but there is a pool cafe that is open until 3pm that serves eat in and take out food at reasonable prices. The biggest thing, aside from the parking, that the hotel really does need to improve on is the wifi. I've stayed in truly poor motels with free high speed wifi and yet this nice hotel charges a fortune for not great wifi. If you join all accor they will give you about 3gb free. I just feel like wifi should be, in this day and age, free, or in with the price of the room. We stayed with family who were travelling over from england and they had to go into the foyer to access wifi because it wouldn't work in the room, which meant time away from the family they were visiting just to check emails/transfer money. The parking is also shoddy and if you are travelling with more than one car, it can be tricky to gain an extra car parking space. we also requested upon booking to be close to my parents room as we had my aunty and cousins over from UK visiting so we were all travelling together, however, we were placed on different floors (29&35) and the key cards only take you to your designated floor, so if we wanted to go up to their floor, or them down to ours, we had to meet someone on the ground floor, with their key, so they could accompany us to their floor. Each floor corridor also smells really bad, like vomit... We all commented on this smell everytime we got out of the lift on the room foyers. The staff at the desk are always pleasant and helpful and are knowledgeable about the surrounding transport options and different things to do. Would I stay here again? Absoutely. But the wifi being improved would make it even better...."

"Beautiful resort with pools and spas but the rooms are extremely outdated with broken furniture and the room was extremely dirty upon arrival that I went and brought cleaning products and cleaned the entire apartment myself to feel at ease. Every single item was dirty from the towels, to the linen, to the cutelry in the draws. Still here and trying to make the most of it. If you plan to stay here bring your own cleaning products, coffee and bath robes as there isn't any."

"We have stayed here multiple times, great location, secure parking and friendly staff. The only drawback is that apartments are not consistent in their furnishing quality. You can be lucky or unlucky. last couple years we had comfortable beds and great TVs. This year the bed had a noticeable bow in it, and the TV in the living room was way way too small for the apartment. There wasn't any TV in the main bedroom (unlike the last few apartments we have had)."

"We just stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 days. The apartment was very quiet and spacious with a large North east facing balcony with great view of the ocean and city. Apartments have great separation and spacing from each other .Very easy secure parking underneath makes it straight forward and easy. Staff very helpful and attentive. Highlight bonus is the fantastic Thai restaurant on the ground floor which has exceptional food."

"Our family stayed here for few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our apartment was very clean. Kitchen looked to be newly updated, bathroom still dated but room was presented very nicely. The pool was amazing. By far best one of the best hotel swimming pools. Kids loved the pirate ship pool and nice and warm too! Staff were very friendly."
