The Langham Gold Coast

"Updated review: A nice stay in a beach front hotel with direct beach access and an undersized but pleasant pool area and stunning gym/spa access. The rooms are nicely appointed but have a few snags - bright lights from charging points and phones are irritating at night, with furniture veneer rather than real wood and a lack of wardrobe space. Views fantastic however, with a fun addition of an under-utilised indoor/outdoor balcony space that could do with further dressing. The bathroom was also oddly configured but perhaps that's personal taste. The breakfast was fantastic all three days. Food options across the hotel were far from perfect - see the reviews for the in-house restaurants but room service was surprisingly good value (even if there was no salt in the mill provided). Service was patchy, with check-in warm and pleasant but further staff interactions sometimes being cold and disinterested. We found it impossible to get hold of staff via the phone between 17-2000. Far from perfect but worth a go if a deal is found."

"It was a brilliant conference weekend. The facilities are first class and the staff, from concierge to front desk to host/hostesses for the restaurants are all professional, well trained and empathetic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to the Gold Coast. Even the rooms facing the street side still give you some view of the coastline! Access to the beach is so convenient and the pool design is clever, incorporating beach sand. I loved it!!"

"We can't say enough nice things about this wonderful hotel. For starters, we used AMEX to enhance our experience here. The lobby is beautiful and quiet. The staff was very kind and able to explain the instructions for our rooms and stay easily. They have a few restaurants and a bar for your stay. Things are a bit on the pricier end when it comes to dining but that is to be expected with the quality of service. They have two pools. An indoor and outdoor pool with a spa outside by the outdoor pool. There is service by the pool during the day although the outdoor pool seems to exist between a wind tunnel and is quite windy (more windy than being by the beach or on the water to be honest) The spa was nice. There were kids playing in it which doesn't bother us but is questionable for those who don't take well to splashing or little ones being loud and playing. The pool upstairs was heated and beautiful. They provide towels and water for your stay as well as nice bathrooms and a sauna for you to shower and change. There is an actual spa at the hotel with different massage and facial offerings. Very high class. They sell packages in the winter that sound pretty relaxing and nice. The gym is 24 hours and is beautiful overlooking the water. They have state of the art gym equipment and enough to have a full work out 12 different ways. The rooms were large and beautiful. The bathrooms were lovely with an uniformity shower and a big tub. Room service was great and came multiple times a day. The halls were quiet and serene at night. We had a room with a balcony. I could go on! But we would only stay here if we ever returned."

"Possibly the best hotel we have stayed at. Everything was impeccable from the moment we pulled the car up to the concierge to checkout. The fragrance in the lobby was amazing, staff were wonderful, the pools and the hot spa was incredible. The room was so comfortable and everything was new and so clean! Will definitely be back!"
