Rocky Pool Piesse Brook, Western Australia 6076
About the Business
Welcome to Rocky Pool, a stunning tourist attraction located in Piesse Brook, Western Australia. This establishment is a must-visit point of interest for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
To embark on your adventure, start at the car park located at the end of Spring Road. From there, head in a northerly direction and take the left fork at the T-junction, walking uphill. As you continue on the main track, ignore any tracks to the left and keep following the path. At the next T-junction, take the right fork and cross a small water course.
At this point, you'll need to leave the main track and take a branch to the right, which is indicated by a sign and a large cut log to the right of the track. This is the most distant point from the start of the walk. Be prepared for a loose and stony descent as you cross a rocky water course with a unique rock formation resembling a ram's head.
As you continue on, you'll encounter a divergence in the track. During winter, due to the flow of water, it is necessary to deviate to the left through a grove of saplings. The track may be indistinct but generally follows the creek line. Keep an eye out for a blue marker on a dark Red Gum to guide you.
Next, you'll come across a bridge that crosses a water course, situated directly under a high tension power line. After crossing the bridge, veer right onto a well-made track that follows the Shire of Kalamunda walk trail signs. This will lead you to the highlight of your journey - Rocky Pool. This picturesque pool is adorned with large granite boulders and is a sight to behold. Even during most of the summer, you can find water here, creating a tranquil oasis.
During your exploration, you'll also notice the Bibbulmun Track joining the track from the left. When you reach this point, turn right off the formed road and follow the Bibbulmun Track markers. Look for a trail marker on a large post on the left of the road to ensure you're on the right path.
Eventually, the Bibbulmun Track will turn left and head up the hill. However, you should leave the track here and cross the water course to the right. After crossing the water course, turn left and follow the Shire of Kalamunda walk sign on a tree, leading you back to the start point.
For an even more immersive experience, you can download the Interpretive Trail to Rocky Pool via Schipp Road. This picturesque walk trail, established in 2012 by the Friends of Piesse Brook, meanders beside Piesse Brook on a return trip of 3.4 kilometers.
Visit Rocky Pool in Piesse Brook, Western Australia, and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Whether you're seeking tranquility, adventure, or simply a unique tourist attraction, Rocky Pool has it all.

"It's nice place to relax in the pool after walking."
"It was nice 2 hr hike. There was only rocky no pool. Dry pool but was nice cool breeze to relax after a walk. Looking for to go when there is water flowing."
"Went there yesterday and all the creeks are dried and there was no water in the Rocky pool dried as hell. Been here a month ago and found enough water. The trail is good if you looking for a nice walk throughout the jungle but not for swim in the Rocky pool these days as only thing you see is the sand and rocks. Cheers."
