Welcome to the Waite Campus Childrens Centre, located in the picturesque City of Mitcham, Urrbrae, South Australia. Our establishment is not just a school, but a point of interest and a nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to school age.

At Waite Campus Childrens Centre, we prioritize building reciprocal connections between children, families, and staff to create a welcoming and safe learning environment. We believe in fostering genuine relationships with children and families, as we guide them to discover and celebrate their uniqueness and that of others.

As we embark on this educational journey, we respectfully acknowledge that the land we learn upon is the traditional land of the Kaurna people. We value and support the principles of a reconciled Australia, honoring the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of this land.

Learning through play is the foundation of our day, as we provide a positive environment that promotes active learning and development. We believe in the power of the natural world and embed its teachings into our curriculum, exploring opportunities to sow the seeds for Education for Sustainability.

We are proud to offer an integrated approved preschool program for eligible 4-year-olds as part of the Commonwealth Government's Universal Access to preschool. Our focus on outdoor learning and education for sustainability sets us apart, providing a range of learning environments for children to thrive in.

At Waite Campus Childrens Centre, we understand the importance of healthy eating habits. We follow the guidelines of Nutrition Australia to ensure children are introduced to healthy eating, providing them with nutritious snacks and food throughout the day.

Safety is our utmost priority, and we offer a Child Safe Environment. We have a Code of Conduct for a Child Safe Organization, ensuring the well-being and protection of all children in our care.

Families from our local community and beyond have access to our services, with priority given to staff and students of the Waite Campus, including employees of the University of Adelaide, CSIRO, SARDI, ACPFG, AWRI, and other co-located organizations.

Enrollment at our center incurs a small administration fee, and families can apply for a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through Centrelink to help with the costs.
