Aberfoyle Community Centre
About the Business
Welcome to the Aberfoyle Community Centre, located at 1 Jessica Street in Aberfoyle Park, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest in the area, our main goal is to meet the needs of our residents by promoting well-being and community involvement.
At the Aberfoyle Community Centre, we offer a wide range of group activities to cater to various interests. Whether you're into arts and crafts, general interest topics, or adult education, we have something for everyone. Our center also provides spaces for hire, perfect for meetings or events with up to 120 people. Additionally, we have a spacious outdoor pergola area for gatherings and functions.
Our modern facility boasts professional kitchen facilities and off-street parking, making us the ideal choice for your next function. We're excited to announce that the Aberfoyle Community Centre is undergoing a significant transformation with a $1.5 million expansion. This expansion will bring new opportunities and services to our community, further enhancing our commitment to serving you.
One of the services we offer is our Let's Eat Meals program, where you can enjoy nutritious and affordable meals without the hassle of cooking. These meals are cooked fresh every Monday and are available for collection in the afternoon or throughout the week. We may also have frozen meals from previous cooks, so feel free to inquire at the center.
To stay updated on the weekly menu, follow the Aberfoyle Community Centre on Facebook or give us a call. We also have a Pay it Forward program for Let's Eat Meals, allowing you to purchase vouchers for friends or family who might benefit from these meals.
In addition to our meal program, we are a drop-off point for various recycling items. Our Community Recycling Station accepts light globes, batteries, printer cartridges, oral hygiene products, writing instruments, mobile phones, and bread tags. By participating in this initiative, you can contribute to a more sustainable future.
For book lovers, our Aberfoyle Community Centre Book Exchange is a great resource. You can find a wide selection of books to read without having to go to the library or purchase them. Feel free to drop off any books you no longer need as well.
If you have excess homegrown or homemade produce, we encourage you to bring it to the center. We have a Grow Free Cart where you can share your produce with others in the community. This initiative promotes a sense of community and ensures that everyone has access to fresh, locally grown food.
The Purple Bin Project is another community initiative we support. This project aims to provide hygiene and toiletries packs to those in need, recognizing the reality of hygiene poverty. Purple Bins are placed in strategic locations, and the public is encouraged to donate personal hygiene products, toiletries, socks, and underwear. Volunteers then assemble care packs, which are distributed to individuals and families facing crisis situations in the City of Onkaparinga.
At the Aberfoyle Community Centre, we also offer various classes and programs to help you stay active and learn new skills. From gentle exercise classes that focus on mobility and stretching to circuit training for strength and coordination, there's something for everyone. We also have adult community learning programs that provide English language and literacy support.
Additionally, we host a Mobile Food Hub, a pop-up affordable grocery store that provides food relief for those on a low income. This initiative offers low-cost groceries as well as free fruits, vegetables, and bread to those in need.
We also have a photography club for amateur or novice photographers who want to improve their skills. This club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the center, with excursions taking place on the third Thursday.
We invite you to visit the Aberfoyle Community Centre at 1 Jessica Street, Aberfoyle Park, to take advantage of our wide range of services and activities. We acknowledge and pay respect to the Kaurna Nation and its people, the traditional owners and custodians of the land in the City of Onkaparinga.
Join us and become part of our vibrant community today!

Reviews
"Great venue for ASO community concert"
"Didn't actually go into the centre, but had my car's cleaned nearby. Funds to the centre I believe, the cleaners consisted of young girls and guys, with adults keeping an eye on things as well as doing cleaning as well. Really good jobs done, I've never seen our cars so clean!"
"Don't agree with male/female sharing common toilets. Especially at a sporting venue with people of all ages sharing the facilities. This has been like this for an extended period of time now."
"Love this place I am tutoring students with English as a second language. Really happy and friendly people"
