Reviews
"A wide variety of dishes here. The place is very popular with people who seem to be more familiar with the food than I am. Loved the fried squid and the other dishes we tried and will be back to try some more."
"It's a great place to find casual dim sum in the area available throughout the day and night when the proper restaurants generally only serve it for lunch. However, the quality is a bit hit and miss and overall taste is pretty average. The BBQ pork rice flour roll had a weird coconut oil type taste to it and the roll and BBQ pork were not great, the deep fried squid tentacles didn't seem fresh, the BBQ pork bun was acceptable, and the pork and prawn dumpling was decent but not stand out. Despite the not-amazing taste, prices are ok and generally cheaper than many restaurants but competitive for the food court atmosphere. This makes it ok for a slightly cheaper and more accessible place for dim sum."
"March 2021. This place has changed owners twice since the end of the big lockdown. I have just tried it for the first time with the latest owners and I was interested to see how it was as I have been coming here for years. Prices are still competitive and we tried the Squid legs, the prawn and chive dumplings, the prawn dumplings and spring rolls. The prawn and chive dumplings were spectacular, the Squid legs are still legendary and the prawn dumplings were excellent. The only thing that I thought wasn't as good as before was the spring rolls, they used to be like Chiko Rolls but now they are just ordinary spring rolls. The menu is smaller than before but all the favourites are still there. This is a REALLY competitive food hall and has good meals for all sorts of different tastes, so they are going to have to stay above average. They have big shoes to fill but seem to be on target so far. Edit: 15/9/21. I been here a couple of more times since the last review and the prices have increased a bit. The Dumplings are bigger than usual and are still excellent. The Squid legs are still legendary. The service has improved a lot. Still a 4 but now mainly because of the price increase."
"Decent quality in a food court. Siew Mais are good. Cheong fun rolls are a bit too thick and hence the lack of flavour. Egg tarts are lacking of the buttery flavour. Steamed pork ribs are salty, will be good to have more of the black bean taste. Overall was an okay experience only. The chilli oil provided definitely wasn't enough for the amount of food we ordered. Note that it's not a self service condiments like most dim sum places."
"Waist of money, poor service, horrible food. Ordering from this place felt like the cashier didn’t want your business and really didn’t want you to order their food, maybe they know the truth about their food? After the food arrived Squashed and Cold it was promptly returned however instead of re-making it ‘Fresh’ they decided to just reheat it in the Deep fryer. It then came out drowned in oil. Would not recommend, much better places to get food from in the food court."
