"I have been one of Ray’s patients since 2018. During this time he has been with me through endometriosis, IVF and the birth of our daughter. He was the first doctor to ever take me seriously when discussing the issues with my cycles and the ongoing pain I was in. He is not someone who just a puts you on the pill and disregards your symptoms. He listens, is very kind and provides you with all the information and options up front. He diagnosed me with endometriosis and followed through with a successful laparoscopy. Being one of Rays patients meant he was able to continue with us through our TTC journey at Repromed. Knowing my chances of falling pregnant were low never deterred him, he helped us through 3 IVF cycles, before we fell pregnant with our little miracle. As our obstetrician, he kept a close eye on us throughout my pregnancy. When things got tricky towards the end he was the one person I could rely on for information, support and reassurance. He delivered our daughter via C-Section in April 2020. It was the most amazing birth experience I could have asked for. I am so grateful to have Ray as my gynaecologist and obstetrician. He has great bedside manner, is open and honest, a great sense of humour, truly cares for each of his patients and when things get tough - he sticks with you through it all. Thank you for everything Ray!"
"My experience with this doctor sadly was horrific. Recommended by a friend I had high hopes. I had a tremendous amount of bleeding when he did a laparoscopy to see if I had endometriosis. I did. But Ray said ‘it was difficult to cut out too much because of all the bleeding’. I am yet to understand why the op didn’t stop right there as the bruising and massive distension for months after looked liked I had been a violence victim! There were so many wrong things about this Dr’s manner. His tremendous ego. His constant reference to his success rates (yet after my surgery I was in pelvic pain for 12 MONTHS)! Not the usual 2-3 wks gynaecologists suggest which is what it took from my recent repeat laparoscopy with zero bruising. His bedside manner is appalling. For someone working in the delicate field of women trying to fall pregnant, he’s in the wrong field! I also found it callous that despite the fact I had a concession card & at repromed he charged on a ‘case by case’ basis for bulk bill - he never not once, bulk billed me despite the fact I was not working due to a neck injury. The worst line was assuming I would not want my ‘tubes’ if they had endo. ‘You won’t need them. For IVF- it’s not like you’re going to get a partner.’…. ! This was when I was 40. Wow. Now I have scar tissue to deal with from a butchered job. My new normal professional gynaecologist has cleared things up & explained things to me rather than me listening to him talk about how wonderful he is. 2 Fertility yrs waisted. Photos of bruising attached in various healing stages. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!! Gloria Sham JFYI is brilliant."
