"Ordered suits for my fiancé and groomsmen 4 months prior to our wedding and went to pick them up 3 days out but they lost the order as well as the measurements for the guys. There was no apology. Tony did send the guys brand new suits in an Uber the following day however forgot the grooms suit pants!! Said we had to wait to the following day for them to be delivered. Again no apology! The brand new suits were creased and required steaming and the shirts still in plastic and needed us to iron. You expect to receive the suits you hire for the wedding to be perfect. I wouldn’t recommend hiring suits for a big occasion through platinum menswear"

"Ordered 2 sets of bracers, was told 2 weeks for my order to arrive and I would receive a call. Called back after 5 weeks to request an update, was told another couple weeks, after 3 months I requested a refund and was told I needed to return to the store as I had payed in cash, fund were transferred to my account making the trip into the city redundant. I will personally step back into this store or any that are associated with it"

"My fiancé and his groomsmen went in today and Tony Barlow himself was “serving them”. The first thing he said to one of the groomsmen (before even greeting them or bothering to check the name of the groom who booked the fitting) was point to him and say “I can see we are going to have a problem here. You’re not going to be able to fit our suits” because he was a larger size than normal. Tony then proceeded to reiterate these disrespectful comments throughout the consultation without a shred of sensitivity and professionalism. The groomsmen wanted to try pants on and he dismissed them saying they didn’t need to. When I called to speak with the person serving the groomsmen, I spoke with Tony directly. I expressed to Tony how dissatisfied we were with the utter lack of professionalism, sensitivity and decency he displayed, and he told me “it was just a joke and he took it the wrong way”. There was no apology other than “sorry he took it that way, it was just an icebreaker”. We refused to proceed with buying or hiring from Platinum Menswear, and even more importantly from the owner himself. I would have expected far more class and decency from the owner of the business. 0 stars. Absolutely appalled."

"I visited on a Friday after work and I left extremely disappointed with my visit. From the moment my fiancé and I walked in, we felt unwelcome and rushed. We tried to converse with the gentleman but his answers appeared disinterested and rather blunt. He did not offer suggestions, make an effort to get me to try some suits or really understand what we were after for a wedding suit (in my honest opinion). My fiancé had similar feedback and after a few minutes we felt so uncomfortable by the apparent hostility that we left the store. I was so affected by the experience that I went back to the store (20 minutes later) to speak to the gentleman (who said he ran the store so I’m assuming he was the owner at the time - however I can’t confirm this). Whilst he listened, he appeared very hostile to the feedback I was giving. That said, he did apologise and whilst I credit to him for doing that, it did not appear very genuine. Again, this is just not opinion. I sincerely hope he learnt from that experience and my subsequent feedback thereafter. Unfortunately, I can’t in good conscious give this store a high rating."
