"I think I’ve been ordering from here for the past 10 years or more. I used to work at the nearby pharmacy and let me tell you, I would NOT have survived my 3-11pm closing shifts without popping over to pick up my legendary katsu rice box. I don’t work there now but we still get takeout a couple times a month as we still live nearby. Friendly staff. Massive menu. And every dish I’ve tried has been great. I adore the pickled vegetables and small salad in the rice boxes. Amazing katsu chicken but I have to say my top favourite is the agedashi tofu. Sometimes we enjoy going out for dinner and trying the more expensive Japanese places and don’t get me wrong, they’re great. But ohnamiya is my favourite. Thank you to all the workers you are lovely and have some serious cooking skills"

"Very cheap restaurant, however food quality reflects so. Ordered a bento box, chicken katsu curry and octopus balls. Bento box: as average as you could expect Curry: Chicken is crispy and juicy but flavourless; however curry is gross, too much carrot and a lot of flour in it. Curry purchased at supermarkets tastes better. Takoyaki: small balls, not crispy enough & soft skin, very small pieces of octopus (acceptable cos its cheap). The bright side: generous portion Verdict: would not come back."

"Perfect!! Everything served, was made well, fresh And just colourful .. Beautiful sushi, and staff are attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced! We will return And we highly recommend the visit!"

"Ohnamiya is a safe place to go for quick Japanese cuisine. Their menu has pretty much been the same for the time Ive known of their existence and their food has been remarkably consistent as well. I usually always get the same chicken katsu dish which has easily become one of my favourite katsu in Perth (call it familiarity if you want). And while i’m well aware this is by no means the best Japanese in Perth - in terms of value for flavour this is actually right up there. The food is always prepared quickly and the fact that the dishes are so consistent is commendable. There are a couple of branches out there - this particular is my favourite. Big restaurant with good seating options, there are always adequate staff on board so your dishes come out quickly. If you haven’t tried it before- give it a go!"

"We had salmon don,teriyaki don, beef udon, curry katsu chicken, soft shell crab maki and karage chicken as a side. Whole bill comes up to $67 which is reasonable. The place is bustling with takeaways and dine in. For a quick simple weekday dinner, come try out this no frill japanese restaurant at Applecross which also has anothrr branch at myaree."
