Welcome to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), located in Mount Lawley, Bradford Street. For over 30 years, WAAPA has been dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams of successful careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries.
At WAAPA, there is never a dull moment. The Academy is a constant hive of activity, offering a packed program of performances each year. Our world-class teaching staff and specialist tutors bring their professional experience on stage and behind the scenes to share knowledge and skills with our students.
We are proud to offer an impressive range of production, rehearsal, teaching, and performance facilities to support our students and academics. Whether you're interested in degree and VET courses or corporate training and short courses, WAAPA provides the most comprehensive range of performing arts training in Australia.
Our weekend and holiday workshops, taught by WAAPA's staff and industry professionals, offer practical tuition in acting, singing, music, dance, and music theatre. We also offer Professional Development opportunities for Drama, Music, and Dance teachers, taught by world-renowned staff in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Each year, WAAPA students, staff, and special guest artists participate in an amazing selection of performances. Booking a performance at WAAPA is easy and there are multiple ways to do so. WAAPA postgraduate students and staff are involved in research and collaboration across a wide range of performing arts disciplines. From music to theatre, dance to production and design, arts management, and more, our research groups focus on diverse disciplines within the performing arts.

We are excited to offer a brand new Corporate Training program, led by leading artists, practitioners, and educators with real-world experience. This program translates professional performing arts training and advanced techniques into tangible skills for individuals and organizations.
