"I have a current claim with them . My car was driven into by a young lady who went thru a stop sign and t boned me . It is her insurance company who will pay out but trying to get in touch with Shannon's , forget it . Will I be insuring with them again ? Definitely not . I did manage to contact them about 2 weeks ago 14/08 and they did get the car off the tow truck driver but since then , nothing . Useless company"
"Made a claim, supposed to get choice of repairer but told to go to only one. Contacted (tried 5 times) shannons by phone and by email (twice ) but after 5 days no response. Shannons service was good once. NOT ANYMORE!!"
"I am personally disgusted and offended in the service offered by Shannon's insurance. Shannon's not able to ensure my vehicle due to its value and me not having previously owned a vehicle of the value advised. Shannon's are always keen to take my money for all my other business and vehicles currently insured. Disappointed !!! I personally do not recommend, Shannon's you have lost my business. recommend the service"
"SNOBBED OFF, Got recommended by a family member that has multiple policies with them. I decided to give them a call and got asked a few questions. To cut a long story short I was told I was not eligible for insurance becasue I don't own a "Sunday Car" or a car im working on as well. I have a second car it's just not in my name and the car I was trying to insure was brand new. Was quite a shock and almost embarrassing for myself. I Wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. From what I've heard they are good service though my interaction was far from pleasurable couldn't rate them worse."
"I have a few bikes new and old insured with Shannons. So today I call them to add a bike I am rebuilding with a view to getting it back on the road by the end of the year. Now, a 50 year old bike can be a can of worms, as there are many who do "dodgy mods". But there are also many factory sanctioned upgrades of which mine has many. I have had the bike (74 model) since 94, but have paperwork/know it's mod status/history virtually from new. So lots of variables/info. The engine mods are very costly, but also "as a mod" must be quoted/explained so insurer is fully informed. So very old bloke on phone to very "young bloke" :-) . I explain there is a lot of info/need to explain/qualify, so he knows what he is insuring. He couldn't have been more helpful. He listened (as all the info relevant/has to be disclosed) and was amazingly helpful. It is one of the best insurance/corporate company experiences I have EVER HAD. The premium was great, but that is mainly down to me having previous/multiple bikes already insured/adding this one to them, and I am the only one who rides them. But the point is, this young guy (Will, in Newcastle call centre..................................... Shannon's managers, take note!!! :-) was exemplary, I couldn't fault anything he did, and he helped me wade through the facts/figures/configuration/model indentification that is tedious, but is necessary to ensure both parties are happy/informed/covered/know what is covered. I can't compliment this young man enough. Insurance is normally a hassle, and yes, they all have long wait times, because they are busy. But if you are lucky enough to get this particular company rep on the phone, it will be a breeze. Thanks again!!!!!! Cheers; Ken H"
