About the Business
Welcome to Thaitation Restaurant, a culinary haven located at 5 Howtree Place in Floreat, Australia. Our establishment is more than just a restaurant; it is a point of interest for food enthusiasts seeking an authentic Thai dining experience.
At Thaitation, we are proud to introduce you to our talented chef, Eddie. Born and raised in Phetchabun, a province known for its Thai delicacies, Eddie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for cooking to our kitchen. Growing up in a large family, Eddie's parents ran a food stall to support their loved ones. It was during this time that Eddie discovered his love for cooking and developed his skills by assisting his mother in the kitchen.
With years of experience working in both Thai restaurants and renowned 5-star hotels in Melbourne and Sydney, Eddie has honed his craft and mastered the art of Thai cuisine. He has even worked in the South West wine region of Margaret River and Dunsborough, further expanding his culinary expertise.
Driven by his passion and supported by his beloved wife, Joy Jay, and his business partner, Eddie decided to launch his own restaurant, Thaitation. The name was inspired by Joy Jay, who believes that once people taste Eddie's food, they will always be tempted to come back for more.
Thaitation is committed to providing you with a memorable dining experience. Our menu features a wide range of delectable Thai dishes, including our signature dessert, the Kho Nom Mhor Gang – a traditional Thai baked custard cake. Each dish is prepared with love and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite is bursting with authentic flavors and aromas.
We invite you to visit us at Shop 82 Floreat Forum Shopping Centre, where our warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel right at home. Whether you are a Thai food aficionado or new to the cuisine, Thaitation promises to take you on a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Thailand.
Remember, as Eddie believes, "Food is essential to life, therefore make it good." So join us at Thaitation and let us satisfy your cravings for exceptional Thai cuisine.

"Great place to go on a weeknight or weekend when you want to eat out. Awesome The food is fresh and authentic. playground for kids so you can see them and enjoy a good glass of wine or beer. Corkage is $3.00 per person, very reasonable and you can even bring your dog to hang out outside too"
"Flavours are out of this world! Absolutely spot on Thai food with punchy flavours, great variety of dishes and also a bit of flair in presentation. Highly recommend the crispy pork lab and cocomeric rice. Not the cheapest around but definitely worth the money. Perfect with the playground out front to keep the kids occupied as well."
"I came here a couple of times and also got delivery. I loved their food! Very authentic and taste delicious, not very oily like some Asian dishes. Curries are thick and creamy, a lot more meat than most places. Friendly staff and good service. Sometimes you gotta come early or try book for seats as it gets pretty busy. I definitely recommend this place"
"Food was so delicious. But beware the papaya salad was deadly hot. It was like it was soaked in chilli oil for hours. The flavours in their chicken fried rice and their pad Thai were out of this world. It’s a must try. Only downside was average interior design and slightly uncomfortable chairs."
"Quick early Saturday dinner. It was just us and another couple of tables but it was very early. We had a Curry Tray with flat bread, chicken and both green curry sauce and massaman curry sauce to start. The flavours were just amazing. My husband had the bao buns and tasting platter and I had the drunken noodles. The buns were fresh and delicious. The tasting plate had a good variety with fantastic flavours. My drunken noodles were the best I’ve ever had. Pretty spicy but not so much that it spoilt the flavours. Very good serving size. All of that was only $66. Bargain and well worth it. Heaps of parking at the shopping centre. The staff were lovely. Post COVID-19 lockdown visit. 12 June 2020 Happy to say this is still a great restaurant with really good food and fantastic staff. We had a lovely dinner and a great catch up."
