At Purple Goat, we take pride in serving the finest coffee in town. Our trained baristas create the perfect cup of coffee using organic fair-trade beans. Our signature blend is a combination of Papua New Guinea and Nicaragua origin, resulting in a bright acidity with immediate fruit sweetness. The aroma is strong and sweet, with hints of dried fruit. With 100% Arabica beans and a medium roast, our coffee delivers bold fruit flavors with zesty citrus tones and a lingering dark chocolate finish.
Legend has it that coffee beans were first discovered by a goat, and we embrace this story with our name. Just like the goat herder in ancient Ethiopia, we strive to bring excitement and satisfaction to our customers with every sip.
In addition to our exceptional coffee, Purple Goat Café offers a stunning ocean view that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the blue sea. "Nice place for a casual sit down meal with friendly table service. Menu has a good range including a kid's menu. I had the reef & beef which was a good size serve, done medium to my satisfaction. The creamy garlic sauce that the prawns were served in was a delight. Miniature serve of salad on the side. My wife was hankering for a good burger and it looked great - although she found the meat a tad underdone for her taste. She enjoyed her chips dipped in my sauce, thankfully there was sufficient quantity for both of us to enjoy. The menu is probably just a tad on the expensive side for what you get. The food and drinks were delivered by robot which was a bit of a gimmick leading to a bit of discussion about "robots taking our kid's jobs". But the human staff were around to make sure we were happy. During daylight hours the view out on the water probably looks great; at night time the reflection means you can't see outside much at all. Would like to return later to try some of the other specialties on the menu."
"Came here Saturday with my daughters something different,, the atmosphere was dead it was cold the highlight wasn’t the food instead the robots that bring your meal too the table .. I think everyone was just thinking wow it even tells you too take the meals with a smile and thank you .. The menu wasn’t long prices very high for some items especially reef and beef overall we enjoyed our night"
"My family went to this cafe to have dinner and it was Absolutely terrible!!! The food they serve are very expensive and the portion of the food were very little for its price!!! It was just horrible. Salad. Lol. Some grated carrot. One wedge of tomatoes and some mixed lettuce out of a bag. The pork ribs was $48 it was very small. Also, I asked if the drink comes in a jar since it’s $9 and it was just a smallllllll jar for one person!!!!! Also, the rice is $10????? And it was also just one cup. Freaking expensive!! The food was not that great as well. I would rather go to a fancy restaurant than this cafe. Absolutely terrible & disappointed. Altogether we paid $520 for some plain food!!!! So disappointed!! Never going back to this cafe ever again!! They should consider reducing the price of their food or at least adding more portion of their servings!!! Terribly mad!!!"
"Had lunch here with my mum and daughter. Mum was served one of the worst meals I have seen in a very long time. It almost made her throw up so she then asked for the food to be returned. Do better for these prices. We don’t frequent the northern suburbs much however if we did come to Hillarys again we won’t be back here."
"You're paying for the views, which are stunning particularly when we were there at sunset. The food prices are incredibly high, probably higher than many fine dining establishments but I wouldn't consider the food fine dining. Our shared plate of ribs was delicious but there wasn't a lot of meat too them. Other meals around the table, including the kids meals looked like cheaper pub meals which arrived very quick. We were celebrating a birthday and busy chatting so the company and views made up for the other stuff."
