At Marys Place of Wisdom, we believe in providing a non-judgmental and supportive environment for our clients. Our highly trained and compassionate counsellors are dedicated to helping you overcome your fears and anxieties. With a background in education, our founder has always been attuned to the emotional needs of others. We have found that Artistic and Expressive Therapies, as well as Energy Healing, are powerful tools for transformation. These therapies have proven to be incredibly effective in helping clients overcome their fears, anxieties, and worries.

Our founder's personal experiences as a parent of children with extreme challenges and having a sibling with a disability have driven her passion for counselling. She understands the impact these challenges can have on families as a whole. With her background in teaching and supporting children, parents/carers, teachers, and other specialists, she takes a holistic approach to counselling and supporting clients on their transformative journeys.

We specialize in supporting children with behavioral and social-emotional issues in educational settings. Our additional certifications in Holistic Counselling, Artistic Therapies, and Emotional Literacy for children perfectly complement our Masters in Education and Honours Degree in Education. We believe that children's lives cannot be compartmentalized, and their emotions, behaviors, education, and social interactions are interconnected.

In addition to working with children, we also support their parents/carers, teachers, and families. We understand the struggles of being a parent/carer and the pressures that teachers face in today's education system. We are here to guide and support you through these challenges.

"It takes a village to raise a child," and we want to be a part of your village. Through our holistic and artistic therapies, you and your child can tap into your inner wisdom. These therapies, combined with energy healing techniques like Reiki and Australian Bush Flower Essences, help create mind/body balance on all levels - spiritual, emotional, and physical. We offer individual sessions as well as small group workshops, both in-person and online.

Our gentle and non-threatening approach allows clients to express their deeply-hidden emotions and fears. We utilize various techniques such as drawing, painting, sand tray, symbol work, puppets, and drama. These methods are particularly beneficial for neuro-diverse children and those with disabilities. Adults can also benefit from this therapeutic process as they delve deep in a supportive and gentle way, addressing anxieties and fears while finding solutions to their problems.

If you find the idea of individual therapy daunting, we offer workshops that provide a small taste of our therapeutic approach. You can also organize a workshop specifically designed for you and your friends.

At Marys Place of Wisdom, we understand that financial constraints can be a barrier to seeking help. We offer discounts for pensioners and Health Card holders upon request.
