Located on Zillman Road in Hendra, Australia, we are a trusted institution offering a wide range of healthcare services. At Medicross Hendra, we are a mixed billing practice. We offer bulk-billing to children under the age of 16, pension card holders over the age of 65, and DVA gold card holders. However, please note that on Saturdays and public holidays, we only accept private billing.

Our consultation fees vary depending on the duration and complexity of the appointment. For a standard consultation lasting less than 20 minutes, the fee is $87.00, with a Medicare rebate of $41.20. The out-of-pocket cost would be $45.80. For a long consultation between 20-40 minutes, the fee is $144.00, with a Medicare rebate of $79.70. The out-of-pocket cost would be $64.30. And for a prolonged consultation lasting longer than 40 minutes, the fee is $190.00, with a Medicare rebate of $117.40. The out-of-pocket cost would be $72.60.

We also offer bulk-billing for all childhood immunizations, repeat referrals, review of results, and some procedures. Fees for services such as health assessments and management plans are determined by the GP and may also be bulk-billed. Payment is required at the time of consultation, and we accept EFTPOS, Mastercard, and Visa.

To ensure your convenience, we have Medicare Ezyclaim and online services to quickly process your Medicare claims. Medicare offices can be found in Nundah and Chermside. Additionally, home visits are available in special circumstances, and our friendly reception staff and doctors can provide further information.

We strongly encourage our patients to take advantage of the free vaccines provided by the Federal and State Governments. Our nursing staff and doctors can provide you with more details.

If you need any assistance, our staff members are always here to help. We value your feedback and occasionally invite patients to complete questionnaires to improve our services. All surveys are confidential.

To monitor your health and fulfill our ethical and legal responsibilities, we require you to visit your doctor for further prescriptions. If your usual doctor is unavailable, one of our other doctors will be happy to assist you.

Language barriers are not a problem at Medicross Hendra. We can arrange interpreters to assist with any language barriers through NABS (National Auslan Interpreter Service) for our deaf patients. We also utilize the Telephone Interpreter Service 1300 131 450 for over-the-phone or on-site interpretation services with 48 hours notice.

Please note that medical certificates can only be issued after an in-person examination by a doctor. Therefore, you will need to make an appointment to see the doctor.

At Medicross Hendra, we prioritize patient care. Due to time constraints, doctors are unable to take non-urgent phone calls. We kindly request patients to make an appointment to discuss any concerns in person. Urgent phone calls will be directed to the doctor or nurse on duty.

We understand that emergencies happen, and walk-in appointments are welcome. However, please be aware that these appointments are triaged, and wait times may vary. Please bring your current Medicare Card when visiting us.
