"Told me it would be $40 with the rebate, paid 2 months ago $80 out of pocket. I've called up 3 times and they said they would sort it an haven't done anything."
"I called to ask to book in to a doctor. When advised that there was no longer a GP at the facility. I went to ask if they had any recommendations, however, was hung up on. When calling back and expressing that I had been hung up on the receptionist argued that I had said goodbye and became quite agressive in tone. I asked her not to speak to me like and she then argued and hung up again. I called back to ask for recommendations again and she hung up. The third time I called back she answered the question. When I stated calmly I was disappointed with her customer service she hung up again. No GP, rude service. Would not recommend."
"Doctor Terry is a grey man been looking after our son for 12 years now and nothing is too much trouble he is also my GP and has always gone out of his way to look after my family. Dr Paul is an absolute legend when it comes to skin cancers a true old school doc with no beating around the bush, after multiple surgeries including facial I can’t recommend him enough."
"I attended this clinic today to see Dr Paul Martin. I cared for my indigenous niece as her mother had started a new job and planned to join the appointment via phone. I waited to be called and noticed the doctor smiling and calling in the patients beforehand. When it came to our turn, his demeanour changed and became very abrupt and unfriendly. I explained to him that this was my niece and I was caring for her today, and my sister would like to join the appointment via phone. He then became very hostile and said, what a face time? I said no, just a phone call so that she could explain the issue. He then said no, not yet. He then asked me why my sister wasn't here, and I again explained to him that she had started a new job. I said if it was an issue, I could go elsewhere. He said no, it's not. Then proceeded to say I've never seen a child without a mother present in my entire career. I said again, she is working, and I am caring for her today, and I am her aunt. If I call her, she can explain to you and answer any questions you have. Then he kept asking questions I did not have the answer to, and again I asked to call my sister to explain. Furthermore, he kept saying no, not right now. I texted my sister quickly and said he wasn't allowing me to call her. She then called me whilst he got equipment to inspect her mouth. He then started to come toward me as I said I was not comfortable that he was not allowing my sister, the child's mother, to be included in this conversation and asked him to stop. He then went to push my hand down and said, hang up the phone. Turn it off now. I backed away and said, don't and that I am not comfortable and to stop. However, he kept coming closer, trying to inspect my niece's mouth. Finally, I grabbed my things and left for the front counter. I was pretty shocked, having worked in the medical field for numerous years and having never seen anyone treated this way before. I told the receptionist I would like to make a complaint about how I was treated. She then had a smirk on her face and said, what and looked dumbfounded. I attempted to explain what had just occurred. There were two other receptionists, and they all looked at each other. Finally, he came storming out of the room and said, you can't make a complaint here. Now is not the time. I said, who do I complain to then? He said you need to leave. I said, ok, I will complain to AHPRA then. I said, what are your name and provider number. He handed me his card and said, call the health ombudsman. Not once did I raise my voice; I was very close to tears. I am so ashamed of this doctors manner and the receptionist who did nothing at all to assist. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves. If you are a person who is not white, don't come here. This doctor looks down on people of colour, single mothers and those who try to make a living. Perhaps it's time for this Dr Paul Martin to retire if he cannot treat patients without prejudice and intimidation."
