"Came up for my 4 month old twice to this hospital and I was in asap and had such great care for my baby that had bronchiolitis and my son got amazing care from all the doctors and nurses. Said I was doing a good job as you can’t do much for sick kids and that was very comforting to hear in stressful moments."
"We all know how public health works but I’ve never had a pleasant experience from the staff at this particular hospital.. On one occasion A nurse actually suggested My partner and I where there for painkillers… maybe because we didn’t have a lot of time to rush to the hospital while my partner screamed in the passenger seat, so we went in our pjs… when I told the nurse to get some respect she called security. Because it’s my local hospital I will now actually put off going if I have a serious issue. Absolutely disgusting. Twice I’ve also been told to wait in the waiting room while I had a recurring serious issue that needed immediate attention and eventually surgery and I had already been to that exact hospital and been admitted immediately. they just have zero clue. Drive an extra 20 to get treated like a human not an animal :)."
"I presented myself at the emergency triage dept with asthma. I was there for 4 hrs before I walked out. In the time I was there I spoke to an elderly sick woman who had been waiting to be seen for 12 hrs She was distressed and emotional, It was absolutely appalling. I hope I never have to go there again. I fear calling an ambulance in case they ramp the ambulance for hrs on end. IThe triage is a nightmare...go ANYWHERE else, if you can"
"In June 2022, I had to go in through emergency because of broken ankle (which was not known in the beginning). I was well taken care of and though I had to wait a fair bit before being brought it, it was not too long relative to other times I had experienced. Shout out to Geoff, the physiotherapist, who looked after me with much care, consideration, organisation and knowledge."
"Emergency department was excellent however the short stay unit was negligent. I was sent home with a fever, in severe pain and told I was being dramatic and accused of drug seeking. I presented to another hospital and 12 hours later, I was recovering from emergency surgery and told my gallbladder was necrotic and I was septic."
