"the spready is one of the better local pubs in richmond. good drinks, food, and atmosphere, with multiple dining areas depending on your vibe. service is always extremely friendly here but a little slower sometimes with lesser staff and plenty of customers. we enjoyed our food, cant go wrong with a $20 parma with some of the freshest and hottest chips! i was however absolutely gobsmacked to see the market fish for the day priced at $46 plus +10% sunday surcharge. I was put in an awkward position being a vegetarian seeking a healthier option for dinner and was pretty much left to pay $50 for my meal, which was yes delicous but pretty tiny for the price point. with a drink i paid $70 and while i enjoyed my experience and watching the womens world cup final, i couldnt help but walk out feeling robbed. also food service stops at 9:30pm p.s, we were sad we didnt catch dessert! thanks spread eagle ((:"

"Went on a busy Steak Night without reservations. Unfortunately the luck with my food wasn’t as good as having a table to dine in. I ordered my steak medium-well and my friend ordered medium. I’ll post the photos for reference but my steak was so dry and hard to chew (past the point of well-done). And my friend’s was more like a very rare steak. Although I wouldn’t recommend having a steak there, I’d probably go back and have something different."

"I love the Spready! Five generations of my family have stood at the bar and had a drink there and the place never disappoints. I take customers and work colleagues there for lunch and I have most of our family catch-ups over dinner there. The quality of the meals is only matched by the quality of the service (special thank you to Tess for looking after us on Wed night). The atmosphere is always what you’d expect from a warm and welcoming pub (especially after a Richmond win) and I look forward to my next visit."

"We are on a mission to find the best parma in Richmond. This one isn't quite up to the standard of other fine establishments, but was fairly decent. The chicken beast dish was pretty good, interesting flavour. Overall, will be back to try other items on the menu."

"Richmond is blessed with some great pub steak nights and this is is no exception. Was a walk-in customer around 6pm, so was advised could only have the table for 90 mins which was fair. The standard steak comes with scallop potatoes and rocket salad, but you can upgrade to chips for $3. Very well cooked (medium rare) and loved the thick cut portion. Loved the butter on top which is standard. The atmosphere was buzzing for a cold rainy Wednesday night, so I strongly recommend booking ahead. The customer service was excellent."
