Welcome to The Last Jar, an Irish pub located at 616 Elizabeth Street in Melbourne, Australia. We are proud to offer stellar service, great food and drink, live music, and a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, The Last Jar is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a variety of live music. On Wednesdays and Sundays, we host traditional Irish music nights, reminiscent of the lively pubs back in Ireland. Everyone is welcome to join in and experience the authentic Irish music scene.
Thursday nights are home to MacCrimmin’s weekly residency, where you can enjoy a mix of Irish and Scottish jigs, reels, polkas, and songs. Our rotating musicians take the stage on Fridays, playing all your favorite pub songs that will surely get you singing along.
When it comes to beverages, we have carefully curated a selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and an extensive whiskey list. With over 12 beers on tap, including favorites like Guinness, Stone and Wood, and Kilkenny, as well as a rotating craft beer section, there is something for everyone. Don't miss our happy hour(s) every day from 4-7pm.
Our head chef, Jake Beazley, hailing from Northern Ireland, is known for his incredible Beef and Guinness pies. However, he loves to keep things exciting by frequently changing up our à la carte menu, offering new and delicious dishes for you to try.
At The Last Jar, we have various spaces within the venue, including a beer garden, function room, dining room, main bar, and lounge. This allows us to host all kinds of events, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.
In addition to our live music, we offer a range of weekly events. On Wednesdays, join us for our traditional Irish music session starting at 4pm. Enjoy our famous Beef and Guinness Pie, Irish Stew, or any other mouthwatering items from our menu. Fridays are dedicated to rotating musicians who will play from 7pm, offering a combination of popular songs. And on Sundays, our traditional Irish music session begins with a slow session at 5pm, building up as the night goes on. Plus, we always have a rotating Sunday roast available!

"A group of 7 friends and I visited on Sunday. We were blown away first by the delicious, creamy Guinness then we were served a STUNNING roast dinner. We all got the beef and being a group of Irish and English girls, we know our roasts and this one definitely ticked all the boxes. Keep doing whatever you are doing because it works. 10/10!! P.s the staff were amazing. So friendly, so approachable and just knew what they were doing. Props to the beautiful red-haired girl for putting up with us, she's a keeper!"
