"I paid $90 for the worst mani pedi of my life, the mani was cold and I've had dry and cracked fingernail beds ever since, not to mention terrible paint job - thick and gluggy. The worst part being I contracted fungal nail from the pedicure! Now I have to get expensive nail laser treatments to remedy. Avoid at all costs!"
"Went to Professional Nails at Carindale on Sunday. I precooked an appointment. I had Deluxe Pedicure, which was done by Kelly. Kelly did a great job shaping my nails and applying the gel polish. I would definitely recommend them. Very professional."
"I went to get a french manicure on a sunday which for some unknown reason the price was $85.. way too high and not worth the value especially after the experience. An older lady was doing my nails, she was very aggressive the entire time and would yank my fingers in directions they are not meant to go. She told my to relax and hit my fingers at least 20 times... i couldn't 'relax' as i felt like my nails and arms were about to fall off from the amount of pulling. Her attitude towards me was as if i was doing something wrong the entire time. Im sorry my finger can't turn 360 degrees???? She was extremely rude and disrespectful towards me. Mid-way she stopped the service to put airpods in, which prevented me from asking her questions if i needed to and overall felt like a slap in the face. I showed her my reference photo of baby pink nails + White french tip at least 3 times yet she already put on a clearer natural pink. She was acting as if it was my fault i had asked for a specific colour even when she has already made the mistake of a different colour. I just wanted to get out of there so i told her to just continue with the colour she already put on. I felt entirely disrespected and devalued from the nail tech. It was as if i was a burden. I have been here before and was treated better by other nail techs, however i have seen other customers go through the same experience. I will not be going here anymore... especially if i have to pay an absurd amount for basic nails and a terrible experience."
"I have been attending this salon for 5.5 years! I go back because I know I will get great service, friendly and exactly the nails I like. Unfortunately, today, I have a new nail artist, who has ruined my experience big time. I am not sure I will ever go back now. I explained to her, after 10 mins of her service, which I experienced was very 'rough', forcing me to move my hands where she wanted them, not speaking English and saying, 'please move your hands', she shoved my hands from side to side as she wanted them. She was ruthless and just forced my hands to suit where she was comfortable. She even got a nail dryer machine so she could be comfortable doing my nails, not me! It was WEIRD and not anything I have ever experienced. I said to her as well that in the past year, I have had 2 broken wrists and this is hard for me. Instead of taking it easy, she seemed to be even rougher with my hands after I explained this! She did a routine of nail infills, like I have never ever experienced! It was weird and inconsiderate and the end product I am very unhappy with. For paying $70 to be hurt, this is not good. Your staff need to be supervised and no, I will not just 'not have that nail artist next time', I may not come back after over 5 years. I think you need to watch your new staff before allowing them to do their work unsupervised."
"Due to my regular salon being busy, I had to go here twice, and after today, I will definitely not go back to Professornail. 1st time: lady pepping my nail did not do it correctly and ended up grazing too much of the nail (how I know will be mentioned later). After one hand was done so poorly, the manager took over. That was when I found out I had a Trainee doing my nails! Normally I don't have an issue unless they are overlooked. This girl was fresh blood and it showed. 2nd time: Had the manager again, and this time she was incredibly rough and careless while preppibg my nails. Not to mention I felt burning while they were soaking! She also tried to force me to get the same colour I had on at that moment, stated I needed a change due to a uni ball. Still didn't understand, and I reiterated again, this time she listened but forced me to get gel and not SNS like I wanted. My nails looked horrible and bulged out at the sides. I needed my fingernails fancy for a ball and they looked atrocious! Due to the price, I couldn't afford to get them redone elsewhere in time. Today: went to my regular salon and while they were removing the acrylic, or whatever that layer of clear stuff is, hurt like you wouldn't believe. The girl managed to inadvertently take off a good layer of my real nail along with the coating! I don't normally need to dip if I've had this put on, but the PAIN! Even dipping in acetone was painful! When I took them out of the soak I saw I literally had cut lines on my right pinky and ring fingers where the worker from professornail went in too deep and unevenly sanded with the tool. None of my other nails had this besides my pinky and ring fingers on my right hand! No hate to my usual salon coz they were accommodating and understanding. But the pain should not have occurred and it was all because of the roughness and unprofessionalism of Professornail! Never going there again! And if you love your nails as much as I do, avoid!"
