At The Bodhi Tree Psychology, we believe in the innate abilities of every individual to heal and be their own guide in that healing process. We understand that everyone needs support at different times and with various issues, which is why we foster a sense of community and recognize the unique contributions each person brings. However, during our most vulnerable moments, it is easy to lose sight of our strengths and uniqueness. This is where The Bodhi Tree Psychology and its humanistic ethos come in. We provide a safe environment for contemplation, healing, and growth, ensuring that vulnerability does not equate to being directed or overpowered.

Our approach is rooted in mindfulness-based practices, which are not affiliated with Buddhism or its teachings but rather acknowledge the profound influence mindfulness has on the humanistic ethos. Mindfulness, in this context, serves as a powerful tool for self-reflection, self-awareness, and personal development.

Humanistic psychology, the foundation of our practice, emerged in the mid-20th century as a response to behaviorism and psychoanalysis. We provide sessions for individuals aged 18 years and over.

We also want to acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the land on which our practice stands, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin. We honor their spiritual, cultural, and political connection to this land, which spans over 2000 generations.
