Sophie Swart Counselling

Welcome to Sophie Swart Counselling, located at 588 Glen Huntly Road in Elsternwick, Australia. My name is Sophie, and I am here to provide a safe and warm space for individuals who are ready to embark on a positive journey towards change. At Sophie Swart Counselling, we specialize in helping clients overcome the obstacles that are holding them back in life, whether it be in their personal relationships or everyday functioning.

With my calm and friendly nature, I naturally create a comfortable environment where clients feel comfortable sharing and opening up. I believe in taking a holistic approach to counseling, addressing both the skill set and mindset needed for personal growth. Through the use of various strategies, I guide my clients towards positive change and personal development.

Establishing respectful relationships with my clients is my top priority. I believe in an open-minded approach, tailoring each counseling session to the individual needs of adolescents and adults. As an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association (L2), I hold a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and a Master of Counselling from Monash University. I am also accredited by Psychology Today and Good Therapy Australia.

In addition to my qualifications, I have completed the Mental Health First Aid Training Course with MHFA, further enhancing my ability to support my clients in times of crisis. I am also proud to be the recommended counselor with Aleph Melbourne, an organization dedicated to supporting the LGBTIQ community.
