About the Business
Welcome to Relationship Matters Frankston, a leading institution in providing counselling, mediation, and relationship learning programs in Australia. Located at 120 Young Street in Frankston, we are an establishment that focuses on promoting healthy, respectful, and fulfilling relationships within the Victorian community.
At Relationship Matters, we understand the importance of diversity and inclusivity. Our services are available to individuals, couples, and families, regardless of gender, religious affiliation, race, cultural heritage, sexual orientation, or economic circumstance. We are proud to be an "Access For All" organization, committed to serving all members of the community.
Our range of services includes individual counselling, relationship counselling, family therapy, relationship learning programs, family dispute resolution and mediation, family violence prevention programs, VicRoad Safe Driving Program, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). We strive to build positive, safe, and respectful relationships while working towards the prevention of any form of violence.
For fathers, we offer the "Roadworthy for Dads" program, specifically designed to cater to dads of babies through to young teenagers. This 6-week program focuses on discovering the true meaning of fatherhood and developing a positive parenting style.
Parents of teenagers can benefit from our "Tuning into Teens" program, a six-session parenting program that helps teens develop emotional intelligence. This program provides valuable insights on effective communication with your teen, better understanding their emotions, and managing difficult situations.
We also offer the "Parenting After Separation" program, designed to support separated parents in co-parenting effectively. This program assists parents and children in successfully adjusting to separation and navigating any associated conflicts.
At Relationship Matters, we understand that the current circumstances may require alternative delivery methods. Therefore, we offer telehealth/video and phone options for our relationship learning programs, mediation, and counselling services. Our group programs are conducted via telehealth platforms and telephone, with a maximum of 6 participants.

Reviews
"Don't even bother. Everyone is incompetent and can never get consistent appointments. Avoid."
"Emily from Relationship Matters attempted to convince us that "not committing to a concrete date to procreate was "controlling behaviour and falls under the umbrella of family violence". This organisation protects counsellors who practice misconduct. We had to go to the ombudsman as this organisation has zero accountability."
"A poor organisation. One practitioner called Claire ridiculed me on the phone saying 'ooooo you're going to court, whoopee do'. The same practitioner actively enabled my ex to deny access to the children. That same practitioner still works there. I complained about this but they brushed me off saying contact Dept. Human Services - the same department that doesn't answer 1million phone calls per year. So who at the Dept. of Human Servcies can I contact? The office staff are rude who hang up on you if you don't wish to give your last name. Lifeworks are not worth the money for mediation, our practitioner made crucial mistakes and didn't answer my emails to correct them. They did however answer my ex's emails and put two people on the case almost immediately. Whatever you do, just avoid Lifeworks. I've heard Relationships Australia is no better."
"Kind, professional and helpful during a difficult time."
