"Had my birthday dinner celebration here and I loved it! The sashimi was absolutely fresh and so thick cut. I love raw octupus you don't really find it in other places. Chicken skewer and scallop was good too. The waygu beef burger was really good very tender and juicy full of flavour we were all surprised by it. I will definitely come back again! Oysters were fresh too. Just didn't like the prawn gyoza too much won't recommend that dish. But overall everything was lovely!"
"The service and atmosphere were good but food was not as expected. I ordered a Chirashi don and the sashimi were cut into tiny chunks which is not an authentic Japanese chirashi dish. Soy sauce was sweetened and flavour wasn’t balanced. My friend ordered Salmon Takaki don. Her portion was small with salmon thinly sliced over a tiny amount of cold rice. The cabbage was charred on the edges but the veggies was actually not cooked through. It’s the stem part that’s not even edible. We were both disappointed with the food. Over priced and not recommended."
"Food is decent but pricey. The sashimi is definitely fresh and worth the price. Waygu slider is delicious. Prawn gyoza was ok. Chicken skewer was good. King prawn skewer on the tough side, maybe a little overcooked. The fried tuna croquette wasn’t quite to our liking. Good for special occasions. But can get better japanese food elsewhere for better price"
"This is one awesome looking restaurant and the bar is just stunning to look at. Friendly serving staff and a great location, right in the heart of Hawthorne. Enjoyed the wagyu slider for starters but found platter was on the average side."
"Stumbled on this place by chance and it was such a gem. Huge plus on the ambiance: very modern and aesthetic. Food came out fast and was pretty good as well. We ordered the layered potatoes which were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, kaarage was good but felt like it could use slightly thicker and crispier coating, and the Tsukune skewer was sweet and filled with flavor. I would definitely want to come back to try more things on their menu. We also tried the sake flight. Staff there were accommodating and friendly as well. Also love how this is tucked away in a corner."
