At Jumping Goats Bar, we have a deep appreciation for the incredible talent and creativity of Australian independent brewers, winemakers, and distillers. Our ever-changing drinks menu is a testament to this, as we constantly strive to showcase the best of what they have to offer. We source our craft beer primarily from independent Queensland breweries, while our exquisite selection of wine hails from the renowned Granite Belt region, where Queensland produces elegant world-class wines. Our spirits, including gins, whiskies, rums, and vodka, are sourced from top-notch Australian craft distilleries. In fact, our Espresso Martini was voted the second-best in 2019, thanks to these exceptional ingredients!

One of the things that sets us apart is our BYO food policy. Whether you prefer to order from our excellent neighboring takeaways or bring your own home-cooked meal, we welcome you to enjoy a delicious feast alongside your favorite drink. Owned and operated by local Peninsula resident Nigel Scanes, Jumping Goats Bar is a labor of love and a testament to Nigel's passion for motorcycles and great conversations. Nigel opened the bar in 2018 with his daughter Peta Thames, who shared his vision of creating a friendly local bar. While Peta has since moved on in 2021, Nigel continues to run the bar with the support of his family and friends.

We owe a special thanks to Jason Scanes, Will Thames, Mandy Scanes, and Albert Spies for their unwavering love and support since the very beginning. Their contributions have played an integral role in making Jumping Goats Bar the beloved institution it is today.
